It was an aggressive start by the Indian team right from the word go putting enough pressure on the Canadian defense. England qualified directly due to being the host nation while Australia made it into the prestigious event as they became champions of the 2018 edition played on Gold Coast. India, New Zealand, Canada, Wales, South Africa, Ghana, Scotland, Pakistan qualified for good rankings. There are a total of 10 teams each divided into two groups.
