CPL 2021: St Lucia Kings to take on St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the finals

 It was a night of cricket in the Caribbean Premier League semi-finals stage as St Lucia Kings and hosts St Kitts and Nevis Patriots performed brilliantly played at St Warner’s Park, St Kitts on Tuesday. St Lucia Kings stunned the defending Champions Trinbago Knight Riders in the first semi-finals. St Lucia Kings stand-in captain Andre Fletcher won the toss and decided to bat first. The start was not an ideal one as Rakheem Cornwall could not open his account being dismissed by Akeal Hossain. Mark Deyal showed great intent and put the Knight Riders bowlers under immense especially Ravi Rampaul. Andre Fletcher looked out of sorts struggling for timing.  It was an amazing game of cricket as Trinbago Knight Riders and Guyana Amazon Warriors did not have anything to separate in a low scoring thriller played at Warner Park, St Kitts on Wednesday. Guyana captain Nicolas Pooran won the toss and decided to field first. Chanderpaul Hemraj dismissed the dangerous Lendl Simmons cheaply without opening his account. Sunil Narine and Tion Webster steadied the ship with some lovely shots to put pressure on the opposition. The experienced Mohammad Hafeez got two wickets in the same over getting rid of Narine and Webster. Narine and Webster added 39 runs for the 2 nd wicket. Knight Riders scored 46 for 3 at the first six overs. Imran Tahir and Hafeez troubled Knight Riders batsmen especially Munro and Seifert.  It was an amazing batting display of batting by Jamaica Tallawahs smashing the St Lucia Kings bowlers all over the park in their opening match of CPL 2021 played at Warner Park, St Kitts on Friday. St Lucia Kings captain Faf du Plessis won the toss and decided to field first. Kennar Lewis and Chadwick Walton plundered St Lucia Kings bowlers right from the word go. Tallawahs openers put Kings bowlers under immense pressure making life tough for Faf du Plessis. At the stroke of the first six overs, Chase dismissed Lewis ending 81 runs opening partnership. Haider Ali joined in the party and kept the pressure on the Kings bowlers. After the fall of Walton, St Lucia Kings bowlers never looked settle as Ali and captain Rovman Powell dismantled the Kings bowlers.  It was an entertaining start of this year’s CPL season as Guyana Amazon Warriors and St Kitts and Nevis Patriots register wins played at Warner Park, St Kitts on Thursday. Guyana Amazon Warriors stunned defending Champions Trinbago Knight Riders easily in the opening encounter. TKR captain Kieron Pollard won the toss and decided to field first. Chanderpaul Hemraj began off well for Guyana Amazon by putting Ravi Rampaul for big shots while Brandon King struggled to time the ball. Sunil Narine got the breakthrough dismissing Hemraj not being able to keep the shot providing an easy catch to Hosein at short third man. Odean Smith looked in great touch putting the TKR bowlers under pressure. At the end of the first six overs, Guyana Amazon Warriors made 43 for 1.
