All you need to know about CPL season 7

 The Caribbean Premier League season 7 is all set to begin from today onwards as defending Champions Trinbago Knight Riders will take on Guyana Amazon Warriors in the opening match to be played at Warner Park, St Kitts. Many top players would be missing CPL due to some or other reasons.  All the matches would be played at Warner Park, St Kitts from 26 th August to 15 th September. Before the resumption of IPL, this tournament provides a perfect platform for top players to showcase their talent and help their franchises to lift the trophy. Each team will play others twice before the top four teams will qualify for the semi-finals. Here we look at the teams of CPL 7. CPL Semi-finals 1: Trinbago Knight Riders crush Jamaica by 9 wickets to qualify for the finals

  Thanks to an all-round effort, Trinbago Knight Riders defeated Jamaica Tallawahs by 9 wickets in the first semi-finals of CPL 2020 played at Brian Lara Cricket Academy, Trinidad on Tuesday. Trinbago Knight Riders captain Kieron Pollard won the toss and decided to field first. It was an ideal start as Hosein struck off the fourth ball getting rid of Blackwood with a cracking delivery. The left-arm spinner Kharry Pierre dismissed Glenn Phillips in the 2 nd over to leave Jamaica in trouble at 2 for 2. The experiment of Mujeeb Ur Rahman did not work for Jamaica as he was dismissed by Hosein. After hitting a boundary, Asif Ali played a poor stroke to give a simple catch to Kieron Pollard leaving Jamaica in tatters at 25 for 4. At the end of six overs, Jamaica scored 28 for 4.
