 The Caribbean Premier League season 7 is all set to begin from today onwards as defending Champions Trinbago Knight Riders will take on Guyana Amazon Warriors in the opening match to be played at Warner Park, St Kitts.   Thanks to an all-round effort, Trinbago Knight Riders defeated Jamaica Tallawahs by 9 wickets in the first semi-finals of CPL 2020 played at Brian Lara Cricket Academy, Trinidad on Tuesday. Trinbago Knight Riders captain Kieron Pollard won the toss and decided to field first. It was an ideal start as Hosein struck off the fourth ball getting rid of Blackwood with a cracking delivery. The left-arm spinner Kharry Pierre dismissed Glenn Phillips in the 2 nd over to leave Jamaica in trouble at 2 for 2. The experiment of Mujeeb Ur Rahman did not work for Jamaica as he was dismissed by Hosein. After hitting a boundary, Asif Ali played a poor stroke to give a simple catch to Kieron Pollard leaving Jamaica in tatters at 25 for 4. At the end of six overs, Jamaica scored 28 for 4.
