IBL a huge success

The day has come after 2 weeks of grueling badminton matches between 6 teams for the championship today is night where all the hardwork done by the players will be witnessed as the Hyderbad Hotshots will play the Awadhe Warriors in the final in Mumbai. The tie will be decided in the first 2 matches ie the men's singles between Ajay Jayaram and K srikanth , the women's singles between PV sindhu and Saina Nehwal. I think the matches today will be thrilling end to tournament with lot of action and thrills with lot of matches going into the decider. I think the Mumbai masters had the right team to enter into the final but the determination of Awadhe warriors was great and now they have an honor to play in the final. The Banga beats and the Delhi smasher came 5th and 6th respectively. The crowds at each venue was full as they had come to watch the number 1 ranked play Lee Chong wei. Indian young talent had done very well giving tough fight to them and stretching them to their lim...

T-20- a bane or boon.

When the first T-20 match was played between Pakistan and England nobody thought this format would become so famous. All over the world there are leagues taking place all over the world. The IPL, CPL, BPL, is the format where the international players and domestic can play together, know their strengths, weakness. The T-20 which has 4 tournaments so far has been impressive with some excellent performances. The likes of Gayle, yuvraj, Raina and others have proved that with time the T-20 format is getting popularity and the audiences come to watch the match with lot interest than test match or ODI's. The T-20 has saw the batting improved a lot, the batsman playing innovative strokes, the scores of 170-180 are becoming common and the first 6 overs are yielding runs when the batsman when he set in. Some of best strokeplayers like gayle who hit 175 runs in the IPL, Aaron finch scoring 156 the highest score by any player. In T-20 the batsman has score quickly and sensibly to allow th...

Indian hockey team through the semi final in asia cup

Before boarding to Malaysia the question remained that can India perform well against the South Korean's, Pakistan or the host Malaysia. The Indian team has done well in the tournament so far only conceding 1 goal against the Bangladesh team but apart from that the team has improved a lot and can now think of winning the asia cup and securing a place in 2014 world cup. In the matches played by India the drag flicking has been it's strength scoring 19 goals which shows that the in the group stage the Indians has dominated the game. The pre camp tour has been a help for this team. The main focus in the training was to build stamina, defence and how to cash in the opportunity. I think the team should concatenate on the semi finals and make plans for that is crucial. Trashing Oman 8-0, then beating the toughest team of group South Korea 2-0 and then yesterday defeated the Bangladesh 9-1. The main aim of this is to win this tournament, on friday the Malaysian will come all guns...

Lasith Malinga- the man with golden arm

Lasith Malinga who has created havoc among all the international teams expect for India who plays him better than other team takes out wicket for Sri Lanka and his franchise team Mumbai Indian. The ability to take crucial wickets for national team or franchise team , the way he bowls the yorkers, slow ones and toe crushers which the batsman are not able to pick, variety, the slinging action which is quite different from others stands out and makes him the toughest bowler to face at the death of an ODI match and T 20. Taking 3 hatricks, one time four ball four wickets and two time hat ricks is a big achievement for this young and talented fast bowler. Six years ago he achieved a feat which nobody could do it is to take four wickets in four balls in world cup to nearly win the match When the national team or franchise team seems to be in trouble the captians looks for this bowler to pick up quick wickets and put the pressure on the batsman, not allow them to score freely, bowl wicket ...

Why Indian archers champions not given right treatment

For the past 1 or 2 months apart from other games the Indian women archers have done a lot hardwork and dedication with limited resources and no modern equipments has done the country proud by defeating the mighty Chinese and also South Korean's in the world cup which is a great achievement for these young Indian players. Deepika Kumari who is a 19 year old girl and other 2 should focus on teaching the young children on how to play the game and become successful players at international level. I feel very proud to see these young players to perform so well other than cricket winning gold medals at international level with top class teams is not an easy task in India where cricket dominates in all media. As a sports lover i would love to see in India the both Indian men and women archers get equal backing from the archery association  as compared to other countries like germany, China their government backs their players and respect their achievements. The grass root level system...

Indian sports making rapid progress and the solutions to improve it

The Indian sports are making great progress. India with 1.2 billion population must recognize the talent and give them training to make the country very proud. In cricket the Indians are performing well in age groups be it the Under 23, India A, senior team. This shows with backing of BCCI and nurture the youngsters who have been doing very well in the domestic trophy. I think the champions trophy win in England was a special victory for this team as nobody thought in the world that Dhoni can do this and become the first captain to win all the three ICC trophies. With the advent of IPL cricket has become more popular, the young Indian  talent who did not dream of playing with top players and get  lot of money. As compared to other countries the Indian ODI team has won the highest number of ODI's in 2013. In 2014 the performance of Indian team in test matches outside India has been disappointment. I think the improvement for the Indians to play on foreign conditions with bounc...

What can be done to improve Indian football

The English premier league and other famous taking place in Spain, Germany, Italy and the teams like Manchester United, Arsenal, Real Madrid have fantastic competition and therefore the respective international teams they can compete and show the world their talent at a big stage. The Indian football is popular only in West Bengal, and Goa. The Indian football has various tournaments. have i league which comprises the teams like Mohan Bagan, and other teams. The santosh trophy is another big tournament in India where states compete with each other and the Nehru Cup is another prestigous tournament in which Nepal, Syria, Cameroon participates India has won 15 times. I think the foreign teams should come here and play with Indian players so that can know the skills of football and how to tackle the players. I think like football is popular in west bengal and goa the All India football association must make sure that football should be known to all parts of the country and take interes...

MS dhoni- the man with midas touch

A humble cricketer and just focus on his game, cool under pressure, takes blame when the team does not do well, postive attitude to play and win matches from any situation is the best quality in him which has impressed.Giving the opponents a surprise and pulling something out of the blue, the way he handles the bowlers and the way he handles criticism makes him different from others. The moment of joy came in 2007 when he won the T-20 world cup which nobody expected and from then onwards he has shown his class. The way he shows respect to the seniors and the manner in which he gave sourav ganguly a farewell is sign of matured person. I think that under MS dhoni india can achieve much more outside the country and the disastrous tour of Australia and England which the team 4-0 each is forgetten. The new generation of players has created a great atmosphere in the dressing room and the champions trophy win in 2013 which nobody thought this could happen, the tri nation series win in West I...

PV Sindhu- the rising star

PV Sindhu the young teen sensation with her great strokes and her height can do very well in the coming years for India. Like Saina Nehwal when she burst into badminton arena she made the country proud and now is the role model for many young players who want to become like her. This young girl from Hyderabad plays with lot of flair, style, aggression, deception. As an  Indian fans   feels great to see two players playing for India doing very well for the country. I think with the talent and exposure in IBL will help the Indian players to be able to perform well in international events. Chinese badminton players who are fit and great players this young defeated the 2 Chinese players in world championship , which shows now that the Chinese wall can be breached. I think PV sindhu should not relax and take every game seriously. In the IBL sindhu has lost 2 matches played so far because the body language did not look good, nervous and pressure of winning bronze medal in world c...

How should test cricket be preserved

The young people especially the teenagers who want to become cricketers are the future for Indian cricket. Around the world the ashes which is coming to it's finish point is the only test cricket happening. Apart from that all the other cricket format are T 20 and ODI. The audience does have so much time to watch test cricket but if there is an epic battle going on nobody want to miss the action. In India the stadiums in ODI and T 20 are full but in test it is not as full as comapre to these two format.  Test cricket is the real format where the patience of bowler and technique of batsman on seaming pitches are tested. With the advent of IPL the batsman are used to slog and play innovate strokes, and other T 20 tournaments in different countries. I think the best way to preserve the test cricket is to make a good pitch giving the bowler and batsman a chance. The weaker teams must be also given a chance to show their talent to the world. The dead pitches with no life should be av...

Hockey world cup berth on the line in the asia cup 2013

The dreams should be realized a chance for the Indian hockey team to qualify in hockey world cup to be held in 2014, they have to fight against 8 asian teams to make into the prestigious tournament. This tournament is chance for the youngsters to show their talent. Going to the back to olden days when the Indians hockey was at his peak wining medals for the country but nowadays the situation has changed. Now India has to fight and compete with , come and put up a spirited performance to gain the confidence of the people who are just watching and following cricket The problem with indian team in hcokey has been their finishing to score goals and their fitness. The ability to handle pressure situation in recent times has resulted in the exit of Micheal Nobbs. New players have been included in the asia cup squad and i think the fresh faces will energize the team and can win the trophy. The times when the indian hockey was at it's highest point with Dhanraj Pillay and Dhyanchand maki...

Virat Kohli- the backbone of Indian team

Virat Kohli on this day made his international debut and has completed 5 years of international cricket. His style, the  manner of chasing big scores and the aggression that posses on the ground is an example for the youngsters. Captaining the under 19 cricket team , winning the tournament and then bursting on the international scene.  He was awarded the best ODI player of the year in 2012. Scoring his first century against the Aussies team when the others were struggling. In the asia cup 2012 he scored one of best knocks of 183 chasing 330 against Pakistan. In IPL 6 he became the captian of Royal Challenger bangalore,. Virat has now become a backbone for the Indian team as he has the ability to tackle any situation. South Africa will be his biggest challenge in his life when he faces the likes of Dale Steyn, Morne Morkel, Vernon Philander and the tough conditons that he has to counter. This player can make the Indian team by learning tricks from the current captian MS Dhon...

Can Aussies win the fiffth test of the Ashes

After losing the 4th test disappointing manner by 74 runs the question remains that can the Aussies find a way to win the fifth and final test of the Ashes to salvage some pride. The bowling of the Australian attacks looks good with Ryan Harris, Peter Siddle, Mithcell Starc, Nathan Lyon and the injury prone Shane Watson but the main problem in the series has been expect the batting of  Clarke and Rogers scoring some runs, nobody in  the middle order has scored runs in some , in the other tests they have failed miserably. The pitches has been very good for batting and also for bowling. In the first test there was fight from the aussies team but finally lost the match by 14 runs, the second match saw England decimate the Aussies by 347 runs. The third test was a draw and England team retained the ashes. The fourth test saw aussies perform very well , Stuart Broad 6 wickets put the Aussies on the backfoot chasing the target of 299 runs they were cruising at 129 for 1 and then bo...

Can IBL be success like the IPL?

The much anticapted Indian badmination league which has started on the 14th August began with a bang as Delhi Smashers defeated the Pune pistons by 3-2 to start of the tournament. In this tournament there are 6 teams. These teams are  Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Lucknow, Hyderabad. Like cricket this tournament  provides an opportunity for the young indian shuttlers to  showcase their talent to the world and compete with the experienced international players. The film stars are be also the brand ambassadors of this event. For the Mumbai Masters Sunil Gavaskar is the brand ambassador. By playing in different venues the audience especially youngsters who's role model is Sania Nehwal and the young teen sensation PV Sindhu can get to know the game and take interest in it. Players like Guru Sai Dutt, HS prannoy, Sarubh Verma, Ajay Jayaram must learn to handle pressure while playing with top international players. The crowd yesterday at Delhi was full when the match betwe...

Indian sports on the rise

Indian sports has been on the rise for the past 5 to 6 years with players winning medal at the world stage. In  August the Indians hockey women's team won the first medal after 38 years beating England in the Junior world cup, adding to that teen sensation PV Sindhu also won the bronze medal in world championship held in China and became the first women to win a medal after 30 years. She beat the 2 chinese opponents which nobody thought. Saina Nehwal reached quarterfinals and P Kashyap also reached the quarter finals. It shows that the players with lot of determination can challenge and become great players. Like cricket a franchise based Indian Badmiantion league is going to change the life of Indian Badmination players and the young indian players will get an opportunity to play with experienced international players. Basketball where India competed in the Asian Basketball Championship finished 11th. The govt must provide proper facilites in India at local and school level so th...

India's junior women's team created history by winning it's first medal in 38 years after defeating the England team on a penalty shoot out. The scores were tied at 2-2 in normal time and then india won on penalty shoot out. The tournament started on bad note losing to Aussies 6-1 and then came back to defeat the Newzeland team.In the third pool match India defeated the Russians 10-1 to a book a place in the quarter finals of the prestigious tournament. In the quarter finals of the tournament Spain took the lead and then India came back very hard in the second half to give them 4-2 win and book a place in the semi finals of the tournament. The semi final was a tough one as they took on the Ducth. The Indians lost the match by 3-0. The bronze medal match was an important one as it was crucial for these players to show their talent on the world stage. This achivement was huge for India team as they played to their potential and won their first medal ever. After coming ba...
