Virat Kohli- the backbone of Indian team

Virat Kohli on this day made his international debut and has completed 5 years of international cricket. His style, the  manner of chasing big scores and the aggression that posses on the ground is an example for the youngsters. Captaining the under 19 cricket team , winning the tournament and then bursting on the international scene.  He was awarded the best ODI player of the year in 2012. Scoring his first century against the Aussies team when the others were struggling. In the asia cup 2012 he scored one of best knocks of 183 chasing 330 against Pakistan. In IPL 6 he became the captian of Royal Challenger bangalore,. Virat has now become a backbone for the Indian team as he has the ability to tackle any situation.

South Africa will be his biggest challenge in his life when he faces the likes of Dale Steyn, Morne Morkel, Vernon Philander and the tough conditons that he has to counter. This player can make the Indian team by learning tricks from the current captian MS Dhoni. His batting has been of high class and should take the Indian cricket forward. The fielding of this young player looks great as he never gives when the chips are down. Sometimes his aggression should be controlled if the situation gets out of hand. The ability to handle  the crisis sitaution is yet to tested against the stronger teams.

Virat Kohli had made a great contribution in the World cup final 2011 held in India, chasing 275 India were struggling but he and gambhir put a partnership and steadied the innings. That moment onwards his confidence increased and now he is a regular memebr of Indian team.

His knock in the CB series 2012 the opponent Sri Lanka chasing 320 in 40 overs he played one of his finest knock to show his talent and plundered the best bowler Malinga all over the ground.

By far in the 5 years of international cricket he has achieved a lot and hope that he can do more and more good things for the team, help the team to become the rank 1 team in all formats.

As a captain he is very good but should try to remain calm when handling the crisis and tense situation like MS dhoni does. In the recently finished Zimbawawe series he should have given Parvez Rasool a chance to play and given equal chance to all the players after he won the series.

As a batsman he has done wonders for the team in the past 5 years. He has done the country proud by scoring a lot of runs when the team requires. The flicks, pulls, lofted shots, playing the spinners with a lot of ease has been the feature of this young player.

In 2nd ODI agianst the zimbawawe team he was given out caught in controversial manner but when the decision came out he was starring at the umpire and was not willing to leave the field. Sometimes he becomes so aggressive that leads to some tension in the ground.

As a fielder i rate him the best among the young players in the team. He give 100 per cent on the field and this energy  gets on to other fielders. His attitude on the field remains positive, but he should concentrate on playing with good techqinue on bouncer pitches that will test him.

Virat Kohli should learn the traits from MS dhoni and he is regarded the future captain of team India. I think he should be given atleast 1 year to groom which will make him more mature and stable.
