Indian sports has been on the rise for the past 5 to 6 years with players winning medal at the world stage. In  August the Indians hockey women's team won the first medal after 38 years beating England in the Junior world cup, adding to that teen sensation PV Sindhu also won the bronze medal in world championship held in China and became the first women to win a medal after 30 years. She beat the 2 chinese opponents which nobody thought. Saina Nehwal reached quarterfinals and P Kashyap also reached the quarter finals. It shows that the players with lot of determination can challenge and become great players. Like cricket a franchise based Indian Badmiantion league is going to change the life of Indian Badmination players and the young indian players will get an opportunity to play with experienced international players. Basketball where India competed in the Asian Basketball Championship finished 11th. The govt must provide proper facilites in India at local and school level so that they can fight with the top teams like Iran, China, Korea, Japan. The hockey players must work on fitness and increase their stamina so they can compete the 70 minutes without tiring.

The hockey women's team which won the bronze medal has be credited for it but the govt must try to match the standards of the top teams like Holland, Australia so that they can perform well at the international level.

India has hosted a number of global events like the Cricket world cup in 2011, Commonwealth games in 2010 in new delhi, F1 race for the past 2 years at Buddh International circuit, women's world cup in 2013,

Hockey which is national game of country needs more young players so that they perform well in the international teams like Australia, Pakistan , England, Holland and other European team.

Also in 2013 a franchise based hockey league was organized which was huge success. It comprised of 5 team from Delhi, Mumbai, Ranchi, Lucknow, Punjab. The crowds in the stadiums were full as the Indians young players got the opportunity to play with experienced players to improve their skills.

The Indian govt must provide enough facilities at local level so that they can compete at the international games.
