MS dhoni- the man with midas touch
A humble cricketer and just focus on his game, cool under pressure, takes blame when the team does not do well, postive attitude to play and win matches from any situation is the best quality in him which has impressed.Giving the opponents a surprise and pulling something out of the blue, the way he handles the bowlers and the way he handles criticism makes him different from others.The moment of joy came in 2007 when he won the T-20 world cup which nobody expected and from then onwards he has shown his class. The way he shows respect to the seniors and the manner in which he gave sourav ganguly a farewell is sign of matured person.
I think that under MS dhoni india can achieve much more outside the country and the disastrous tour of Australia and England which the team 4-0 each is forgetten. The new generation of players has created a great atmosphere in the dressing room and the champions trophy win in 2013 which nobody thought this could happen,the tri nation series win in West Indies recently where he played crucial knock to take India home. When he was given the ODI captaincy he brought glory by winning the series in Australia, Pakistan, Newzeland.
As a batsman i think the way he burst into the international knocks he was dashing storkeplayer but as the time has passed he has become a good and great ODI player , the ability to clear the boundaries at ease, the helicopter shots against fast bowler has now become his strength. Dhoni has been praised by cricketing fraternity and the 2011 world cup is big example of that.
I think Dhoni must improve to tackle the moving ball and his biggest challenge would be to play with positive attitude in South Africa. The bunch of young players like Jadjea, Dhawan,Kohli, Sharma, Kumar the credit has to go to dhoni and selectors who has stuck with players.
As a wicketkeeper the ability to make the quick stumping, take great catches. I think the wicketkeeping of this man has been great with soft hands and take some important catches.
As a captain he has been fantastic in the past 5 to 6 years. I think the way he handles the pressure situation, take blame when the team performs bad, gives credit to team when the team performs brilliantly. I think his performance outside India is now a real test. Apart from that he is only captain after Ricky Pointing to win all three ICC tournments that shows that with lot of effort and determination this man can achieve more success and become one of greatest captain of the world. I think he has also led well for franchise side Chennai super kings. I think he should back the youngsters for 1 more year and the 2015 world cup is the main goal. Sourav Ganguly and Kapil Dev also said that he is one of the greatest captain that India has seen.
