Super 300 Australian Open 2023: Indian shuttlers shine
The Indian shuttlers had a great day with most of them progressing into the second round of the Super 300 Australian Open played at State Sports Centre, Sydney on 2 nd August 2023. Kidambi Srikanth produced a dominating performance upsetting higher-ranked Kenta Nishimoto in straight games. The Indian looked in complete control with lovely shots and put the Japanese player under pressure winning it by 21-18, 21-7 to move into the second round. He will face pre-qualifier Su L-y of Chinese Taipei. Pranshu Rajawat had an easy outing getting past local player Nathan Tang in two straight games by 21-12, 21-16. It was an impressive performance by the Indian and will face Wang T-w of Chinese Taipei. HS Prannoy fought it to defeat Lee Chik Yu of Hong Kong in three games.
