India whitewashed the aussies in payback series

India trashed the Aussies in Delhi on the 3rd day of the 4th test match by 6 wickets to seal 4-0 victory for the hosts for the first time. On the 3rd day of the test match India were bowled out for 272 getting a lead of 10 runs but the Australian team in the 2nd innings were not able to cope with turn and bounce that the spinners were getting. It was turning not every ball but the batsman were trying to score. At one stage Australian were 53 for 5 and then 94 for 7. Siddle who was top scorer in the 1st innings scored a quick fire 50 to give the team chance and setting a target of 155 on trickiest pitch of the series. The Indian chase began positively with Vijay and Pujara scoring runs with new ball and ending session 2 on 72 for 1. The 3rd session saw 3 wickets but Dhoni and Pujara rescued the team. India on the verge of famous clean sweep against the aussies

 Pavan suresh 19 March 2013 India are on the verge of clean sweep against the Aussies when the home team defeated the team which ruled the world for 15 years after. In mohali chasing 133 India won the match by 6 wicket and took a 3-0 lead in the four match series with one match to play in Delhi from 22nd March despite the 1st day of this test match being washed out. After winning the toss the Aussies won the toss and started well sharing the best partnership of the series from the Aussies side of 139 between Cowan and Warner to set a platform but after that partnership the innings fall apart losing quick wickets in succession reducing them to 273 for 7. India back in form to crush the aussies

Pavan Suresh New Delhi 6th March 2013 India came back into form by defeating the aussies in the 2nd test match in Hyderabad by an innings and 135 runs to take 2-0 lead in the 4 match series. The first test match of the series that began on the 22nd feburary saw one the best innings from the Indian captain MS DHONI who smashed a wonderful 224 runs to give India a sizable lead of 192 runs.   In the first test match the Australian captain won the toss and elected to bat and scored a brilliant 130 to give the team a good score on a turning track but the Indian team had other ideas. The start of Indian team was not good losing 2 quick wickets of Sehwag and Vi jay but Tendulkar, kohli, Pujara, Dhoni, Bhuvneshwar Kumar played well to post a excellent total of 572. In the second innings the Australian team never looked comfortable.
