India are on the verge of clean sweep against the Aussies when the home team defeated the team which ruled the world for 15 years after. In mohali chasing 133 India won the match by 6 wicket and took a 3-0 lead in the four match series with one match to play in Delhi from 22nd March despite the 1st day of this test match being washed out.

After winning the toss the Aussies won the toss and started well sharing the best partnership of the series from the Aussies side of 139 between Cowan and Warner to set a platform but after that partnership the innings fall apart losing quick wickets in succession reducing them to 273 for 7. On the 2nd day Starc played well played innings of 99 to give the Aussies a respectable score 408.

The first innings of the Indian team began in fine style when Shikhar Dhawan who is making a debut in test matches and Vi jay scored like a bullet train and finishing day 3 on 275 for 0. He made the Aussies bowling look very ordinary. After Dhawan fell on 187 the Indian team collapsed to 499 all out giving the host a lead of 91

On day 4 the second innings of the Aussies team lost 3 quick wickets ending day 4 on 75 for 3 with 16 runs behind. The last day began very bad for the kangroos who had 5 wickets in the first session but after that Starc and Doherty frustrated the Indian bowlers but Jadeja finally got out Starc to limit the target to 133 in 27 overs.

The Indian chase began very positively with Vijay and Pujara sharing a 42 runs stand, and all other batsman scoring 20 and 30 . The team were under pressure when the target was 17 off 24 balls but dhoni and Jadeja cored boundaries to give the team a 6 wicket.
Lets hope that this Indian team can make a clean sweep of the Aussie that they tasted the same fate last year in Australia.
