India whitewashed the aussies in payback series

India trashed the Aussies in Delhi on the 3rd day of the 4th test match by 6 wickets to seal 4-0 victory for the hosts for the first time. On the 3rd day of the test match India were bowled out for 272 getting a lead of 10 runs but the Australian team in the 2nd innings were not able to cope with turn and bounce that the spinners were getting. It was turning not every ball but the batsman were trying to score. At one stage Australian were 53 for 5 and then 94 for 7. Siddle who was top scorer in the 1st innings scored a quick fire 50 to give the team chance and setting a target of 155 on trickiest pitch of the series. The Indian chase began positively with Vijay and Pujara scoring runs with new ball and ending session 2 on 72 for 1. The 3rd session saw 3 wickets but Dhoni and Pujara rescued the team. The bowling of the Australian team was wayward and leaked runs that put back the pressure on their bowlers.

In this series batsman like Pujara, Vijay, Dhwan scoring a rapid fire 187, Jadeja and Ashwin who was named the man of series award all contributed. The youngsters performing well is good sign for the team and lets hope this team can be the number side in ODI and number 1 side in the test. The biggest test of this team is South Africa where the ball swings and bounces. The south African team has world class bowlers like Styen, Morkel , Philander and good batsman like Kallis, Amla, De villers.
