A credible performance by Indian shuttlers at Asian Badmination Championship

Since Saina Nehwal was training for the Uber Cup , the Indian teen sensation PV Sindhu, the pair of Jwala Gutta and Ponappa, Guru Sai dutta all played really well in the recently concluded Asian badminton championship played in Gimechon, Korea. It was nice experience for these players as it would a good preparation for the Indian players as they would play the best in the world in New Delhi in Thomas Cup and Uber Cup respectively. PV Sindhu won the first match against a player which she never defeated ie Erioke Hirose and was confident with storke play which is great sign for Indian badminton. In the quarter finals she defeated Thaliand Busan in thrilling three setter. In the semi finals she took the first game against the Chinese Wang Shixian and was leading 20-18 in the second but she frittered away points and after that it was all Chinese player from that point. It was a case of tension i case but she gave a tough fight to top seed in rankings but with exposure the Indian badmint...

Will it be an all asian final?

After the league matches the semi finalist of the ICC world T-20 world cup 2014 has been decided. It will be Sri Lanka vs West Indies and then India vs South Africa. All the four teams have performed well in the group stages. In what was called the group of death India played well to win all the matches and West Indies lost their only match against the Indians. In the other group Sri Lanka lost only 1 match but in the final match against NewZeland they were dimissied for 119 but a quality spell by Ragana Hearth of 5 wicket for 3 runs helped them to reach the semi finals and South Africa lost only 1 match against the Sri Lankans. India's bowling which was under the scanner before the tournament began has been on the money as they have restricted the teams to below 140. The strengths in the tournament has been the trio spinners of Jadjea, Ashwin and Mishra, also dhoni as a finisher. As we talk about the weakness the openers especailly Shikar Dhawan form has been a cause of concern ...

Complete anhillation of Pakistan

West Indies completed the annihilation of Pakistan by bowling them out for 82. The Pakistani team were chasing a competitive total of 167 to enter into the semi finals. West Indies won the toss and elected to bat. The innings got off to a poor start losing gayle and Smith, the spinners of the pakistan team were bowling tight lines and length. At the end of the 15th over they were 81 for 5 but the partnership of Darren Sammy and Dwayne Bravo just changed the complexion of the match by scoring quick runs. It was a treat to watch these two play like this and made the Pakistan bowling so ordinary. When the Pakistan innings began the team got off to a poor start losing 2 wickets for 1 runs and in the powerplay over the team scored only 13 runs which put a lot of pressure on the middle order. The score of 167 could have been chased better if the openers had played cautiously. Sameul Badree started the slide for the Pakistani team which looked out of sorts. It looked like only after the 15...
