A mixed day for the Indians at Indian open

On the 2nd day of the Yonex Sunrise Indian open played at the Siri Fort complex stadium the Indians had a mixed day. In the men's singles P Kashyap beat Guru Sai Dutt but it was curtains for the doubles pair of Ashwini Ponappa and Jwala Gutta lost in the second round to the Chinese pair in straight sets 21-12, 21-17. The Chinese pair played with great coordination. The second set saw a much closer game, at one stage both were locked 17-17 and at the end the chinese took the second game and match also.
The men's doubles was between Malaysia and Korean pair. It was a great match as the match went to a three setter with the first set won by Korean pair 21-18, Goh/lim won the second set and third set was won by the koreans.
The women's single match was the centre of the attraction in which Saina was pitted against qualifer from Thaliand and won the match in straight sets 21-15 and 21-10. She played some brilliant strokes as she tired her opponents. After this match it was the time of Sayali Ghoyle against Baye ye yu. In the first set she was leading one stage but due to lack of experience Ghoyle lost the match in straight sets.
Lee Chong wei faced Sourabh Varma in the first match but the champion showed his class and did not allow Sourabh Varma to settle and finally took the match 21-9 and 21-6. Lee Chong wei was fierce in his smash, played the net shots brilliantly.
