Rankings announced for Rio Olympics
In the Rio Olympics, seven Indian shuttlers will be participating in the tournament. For the first time in Olympics ,two Indian female shuttlers will take part in the competition. Saina Nehwal and PV Sindhu will represent in women’s singles. Saina Nehwal who brought bronze medal in London Olympics has best chance of coming into the medals chance. While PV Sindhu will representing the country in its maiden Olympics. After the rankings were released today , the qualifier’s in each category women’s singles, mens singles, mens doubles, womens doubles and mixed doubles were taken into account from May 4 2015 and 1 st May 2016. In the womens doubles, the pair of Jwala Gutta and Ashwini will be representing India in its second Olympics in August. In mens singles K Srikanth will be also participating for the first time.
