Despite Tom Blundell resistance, Australia crushed New Zealand by 247 runs on the 4 th day of 2 nd Test match played at Melbourne Cricket Ground, MCG on Sunday. Starting on the overnight score of 137 for 4, Travis Head and Matthew Wade played few overs. After Neil Wagner dismissed Travis Head, Australian captain Tim Paine declared the innings on 168 for 5. Head and Waded added 58 runs for the 5 th wicket. Chasing a massive target of 488 runs to win, New Zealand openers Tom Latham and Tom Blundell looked positive against the Australian bowlers. After losing 3 successive matches in ICC Test championship, South Africa opened their account and earned 30 points. Starting on the overnight score of 121 for 1, Rory Burns and Joe Denly looked uncomfortable against Kagiso Rabada and Vernon Philander. Starting on the overnight score of 257 for 4, Steve Smith and Travis Head started on a cautious approach. Henry Nicholls produced a brilliant one-handed fingertip catch to dismiss Smith for 85. England captain Joe Root won the toss and decided to field first. The decision paid off as James Anderson got the wicket of Dean Elgar off the very 1 st ball with tickle down the leg. The Indian men’s and women’s team schedule for the Tokyo Olympics 2020 have been announced by the International Federation Hockey today. The Indian men’s team were placed in Group A with New Zealand, Australia, Spain, Argentina and Japan. They will start their Olympic campaign on the 25 th July 2020 against New Zealand. After New Zealand, Indian team will take on Australia on 26 th July. Their 3 rd match of the Pool will be against Spain on 28 th July, then defending Champions Argentina on 30 th July. The final match for India will be against Japan on 31 st July. The Indian men’s team qualified for the Tokyo Olympics by beating Russia 11-3 on aggregate in the Olympic qualifiers played at Bhuvneshwar.
