All you need to know about the schedule and timings for Indian men’s and women’s hockey team for Tokyo Olympics.

The Indian men’s and women’s team schedule for the Tokyo Olympics 2020 have been announced by the International Federation Hockey today.

The Indian men’s team were placed in Group A with New Zealand, Australia, Spain, Argentina and Japan. They will start their Olympic campaign on the 25^th July 2020 against New Zealand. After New Zealand, Indian team will take on Australia on 26^th July. Their 3^rd match of the Pool will be against Spain on 28^th July, then defending Champions Argentina on 30^th July. The final match for India will be against Japan on 31^st July.

The Indian men’s team qualified for the Tokyo Olympics by beating Russia 11-3 on aggregate in the Olympic qualifiers played at Bhuvneshwar.

Like the men’s, the Indian women’s team are also placed in Group A with Netherlands, Germany, Ireland, South Africa. They start their Olympic campaign against Netherlands on 25^th July, followed by against Germany on 26^th. Their next match will be against defending Champions Great Britain on 29^th July, followed by 31^st against Ireland. Their final Group match will be against hosts Japan on 1^st August 2020.

The Indian women’s team qualified for the Tokyo Olympics by beating United States of America by 6-5 on aggregate played at Bhuvneshwar.

The top 2 teams in each group will qualify for the quarterfinals. The men’s event last 8 round matches will take place on 2^nd August while women’s team matches will take place on 3^rd August 2020.

The semi-finals will be played on 4^th and 5^th respectively. The medal matches will take on 6^th and 7^th respectively.

Indian women's and men's schedule for Tokyo Olympics announced
