PV Sindhu lone Indian to represent in BWF World Tour finals 2019


By winning the BWF World Championship title in August this year, PV Sindhu will represent in the BWF World Tour finals to be played from 11th December at Guangzhou, China. After winning the prestigious title, the Indian has been in poor form losing at Denmark Open, China Open, Japan and Korea Open. She reached the quarterfinals of French Open 2019.
   
Sindhu finished 15th in the BWF World Tour finals rankings. She is defending Champions of BWF World Tour finals winning it last year. With the Indian winning the World Champion, she will get direct entry into the tournament.

It is going to be a massive challenge to maintain the intensity for Sindhu. She will be looking to show much better consistency in the upcoming tournament against the best Badminton players. Tai Tzu Ying, Chen Yu Fei, Ratchnok Intanon, Nozomi Okuhara, He Bing Jao of China, Busnan Ongbamrunghphan of Thailand would take part.

The Indian shuttler’s had a tough season with Sai Praneeth winning the bronze medal in World Championship. Satwik Sairaj Ranki Reddy and Chirag Shetty who the Thailand Open opt out the prestigious in August due to injury.

Other Indian shuttler’s Kidambi Srikanth, Saina Nehwal struggled in the season due to injuries and cramped schedule.
