Rohit Sharma and David Miller produced magical performances for respective
franchises.
It was an amazing performance by these two players who were
superb to lead and created an impact that will be remembered forever.
Rohit Sharma hattrick
Rohit Sharma produced a magical hattrick in the 32nd
match of Indian Premier League on 6th May 2009. This match was
played at the Super Sports Park, Centurion.
In this match, Deccan Chargers captain Adam Gilchrist won
the toss and decided to bat first. Rohit Sharma 38, T Suman 20, and Venugopal
quickfire 28 off 17 balls helped Deccan Chargers post 145 for 6. Rohit Sharma
was simply sensational for Deccan Chargers with the ball picking up Abishek Nayar,
Harbhajan Singh in the 16th over. He came back in the 18th
over and dismissed JP Duminy to register a memorable hattrick.
Rohit Sharma finished with amazing figures of 4 for 6 in 2
overs. Deccan Chargers captain Adam Gilchrist gave Rohit overs in that
tournament. For his all-round performance, he was awarded the man of the match.
He played a key role in helping Deccan Chargers win the IPL 2009 edition.
He then became the most successful captain in IPL history by
winning 4 titles for Mumbai Indians.
David Miller sensational century
David Miller produced one of the best innings in IPL history
by smashing the third fastest century. He scored 101* off 38 balls for Kings XI
Punjab against Royal Challengers Bangalore played at PCA Stadium, Mohali on 6th
May 2013.
Chasing a massive target of 191 runs to win, David Miller
came to the crease with Kings XI Punjab struggling at 51 for 3. The left-handed the batsman took few balls before taking the attack to RCB bowlers. It was an
amazing knock by Miller who smashed 26 runs off RP Singh over which changed the
momentum of the innings. He reached his fifty off 24 balls.
After reaching his fifty, Miller upped the ante more with
amazing stroke play which stunned RCB bowlers. There was no stopping during
that innings and smacked six off Chris Gayle to reach his century off 38 balls.
His knock helped Kings XI Punjab register a stunning 6 wickets win.
For his sensational knock, David Miller was awarded the man
of the match. David Miller made his IPL debut for Kings XI Punjab in 2012.
Since then he has featured for the same franchise.
He has played 79 matches with 1850 runs which includes 1 a century and 9 half-centuries. His best score in IPL is so far 101*. Miller was retained by the Kings XI Punjab
franchise for 2019 edition. He made 213 runs from 10 matches with the best score of
59*.
