England’s tour of India 2020-21 schedule announced

 

In big news for Indian Cricket, England will tour India for a full-fledged series including 4 Test matches, 5 T20Is, and 3 One-day internationals. The matches will be played across three venues.

There will be four Test matches that will be a part of the ICC Test Championship. Out of these four tests, one would be the pink-ball Test match under the new stadium in Ahmedabad. After the four tests, the teams will play 5 T20Is at the same venue.

With a view of the T20I World Cup to be played in 2021, there will be more T20Is. After these five T20I matches, both teams will play 3 ODI matches that would be a part of the ICC Super League tournament.

India will be looking to showcase its dominance on home soil. After the four-match Test series against Australia starting from 17^th December, they would be making sure that they reach the finals of the ICC Test Championship if they lose the Test series.

1.       5^th-9^th February (Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai)

2.       13^th-17^th February (Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai)

3.       24^th-28^th February (Ahmedabad, Pink Ball Test)

4.       4^th-8^th March (Ahmedabad)

 

T20Is

1.       1^st T20I- March 12^th- Ahmedabad

2.       2^nd T20I March 14^th- Ahmedabad

3.       3^rd T20I- March 16^th, Ahmedabad

4.       4^th T20I- March 18^th, Ahmedabad

5.       5^th T20I- March 20^th, Ahmedabad

ODIs

1.       1^st ODI- 23^rd March- MCA Stadium, Pune

2.       2^nd ODI- 26^th March- MCA Stadium, Pune

3.       3^rd ODI- 28^th March- MCA Stadium, Pune

It promises to be an exciting encounter between the top two sides in the world. The Test matches would be tough while the shorter format would be much more exciting as both teams will be looking to gain momentum ahead of the prestigious tournament to be played in India.
