Two Indian batsmen in latest ICC T20I rankings

 

After the conclusion of the T20I series between India and Australia, there is good news as two Indian batsmen are included.

Malan showed tremendous consistency in the T20I series against South Africa and still occupies the top spot. Babar Azam also maintains its second place but has a chance to climb up if he does well in the upcoming T20I series against New Zealand starting from 18th December.

The explosive right-handed opener from Karnataka, KL Rahul climbs one place up to number 3 in the rankings. Before getting out for 0 in the last match, the opener scored 51 and 30. He is just 55 points behind Babar Azam. Rahul showed superb form in 1st and 2nd T20I but failed to open the account in the final T20I.

After an average series, Australian captain Aaron Finch slips one place down to number 4th in the rankings. South African youngster Rassie Van der Dussen remains at number 5th position.

The New Zealand opener Colin Munro maintains his 6th position. Maxwell who had a decent series in the T20I series also maintains 7th place.

Virat Kohli who scored 85 runs in the 3rd T20I match but lost the match jumps one place up to 8th in the rankings. He made 134 runs including a quickfire 40 runs in 2nd match. Afghanistan explosive opener Hazaratullah Zazai slips one place down to 9th.

England captain Eoin Morgan completes the top 10 positions in the batsman rankings. The Indian Cricket Team came back strongly to win the T20I series 2-1.

In the bowling department, Afghanistan sensation Rashid Khan still occupies the top spot. The top 10 rankings are dominated by leg spinners. Out of the 10 bowlers, Sheldon Cottrell and Chris Jordan are the two pacers included. After an impressive T20I series, Adam Zampa jumps to number 4 in rankings.
