Latest ICC Test rankings as of 10th February 2021
After the conclusion of three Test matches between India-
England, Pakistan-South Africa, and Bangladesh-West Indies, the latest ICC Test
rankings for batsmen and bowlers have been released by the ICC on 10th
February 2021.
Kiwis captain Kane Williamson occupies the number 1 spot. He
enjoyed success in the home Test series against Pakistan and West Indies. Steve
Smith who had a disappointing series still holds the number 2 spot.
After an impressive 218 and 40 runs in the opening Test
match at Chennai, England Joe Root moves two spots up to number 3rd
rankings. Marnus Labuschagne slips one place down to number 4th
place.
The Indian captain Virat Kohli who scored 11 and 72 runs in
the first Test match at Chennai against England, slips one place down to number
5th. He would be looking to improve his performance in the upcoming 2nd
Test at Chennai starting from 13th Feb.
Pakistan's newly-appointed captain Babar Azam moves one place
up to number 6th place. He did well in the 2 Test matches played at
home. Cheteshwar Pujara's performance was not up to the mark as he slipped down
one place to number 7th.
Henry Nicholls of New Zealand, Ben Stokes of England and
David Warner of Australia jumps one place up to number 8th, 9th,
and 10th respectively.

In the latest bowlers’ rankings, Australian spearhead Pat
Cummins still maintains his number 1 position. Stuart Broad who did not feature
in the opening Test match at Chennai occupies 2nd place.
The veteran James Anderson who performed brilliantly in the opening
Test match grabbing important wickets jumps three places up to number 3rd
and removes Neil Wagner.
Kiwi pacer Neil Wagner slips one place down to number 4th.
Josh Hazlewood and Tim Southee slips one place down to number 5th
and 6th respectively.
Ravichandran Ashwin who took 9 wickets in the first Test
match against England at Chennai, jumps once place to number 7th.
Jasprit Bumrah also jumps one place up to the number 8th.
Kagiso Rabada who was not up to the mark in the 2nd
Test against Pakistan slips two places down to number 9th. West
Indies captain Jason Holder maintains the last position.
