Vijay Hazare Trophy 2021: Prithvi Shaw and Devdutt Paddikal make history.

It was another record-breaking performance as Prithvi Shaw and Devdutt Paddikal broke records during the 2nd Semi-finals played at the Palam Air Force Ground, New Delhi on Thursday.

Karnataka captain R Samarth won the toss and decided to field first. Jaiswal was dismissed cheaply by Prasidh Krishna cheaply. Shaw looked solid at one end putting pressure on Karnataka bowlers smashing Krishna for 21 runs in the 8th over to shift the momentum. It was an amazing batting performance by Shaw who kept his dream run continuing. After completing his half-century, the explosive opener opened his arms more and looked in sensational touch.

After the fall of Aditya Tare’s wicket, Shams Mulani came to the crease and put more pressure on the Karnataka bowlers. Shaw smashed his fourth century of the tournament off 79 balls. Mulani and Shaw added 159 runs for the 3rd wicket to keep the momentum going for Mumbai. Shaw created enough pressure and completed his 150 off the next 32 balls. He was eventually dismissed for a superb 165 off 122 balls with 17 fours and 7 sixes. Mumbai lost quick wickets at regular intervals to be bowled out for 322 in 49.2 overs.
