All you need to know about Tata IPL 2022

 The much-awaited news around the world has come with the Groups and format of Tata IPL 2022 has been announced by IPL governing council.

In this year’s format, there are two groups of five teams each. The teams will play twice each other in the same group before taking on the other group once. There will be a total of 14 matches each playing in 4 venues namely Brabourne Stadium, Wankhede Stadium, DY Patil Stadium, and MCA Stadium, Pune.

The tournament will begin on the 26th of March and would finish on 29th May. This is going to be a great IPL 2022 with Lucknow Supergiants and Gujarat Titans in this year’s IPL. All these have been seeded based on the number of times they won the title or reach the finals.

Wankhede Stadium will host 20 matches, followed by Brabourne Stadium with 15, DY Patil Stadium with 20, and MCA Stadium would feature 15 matches. All teams would play 4 matches each at Wankhede Stadium and DY Patil Stadium, 3 matches each at Brabourne Stadium and MCA Stadium, Pune.

Group A comprises of Mumbai Indians winning 5 titles, Kolkata Knight Riders winning 2 titles, Rajasthan Royals with 1 title, Delhi Capitals reaching finals once, and then the newly Lucknow Supergiants.

The other group comprises of Chennai Super Kings winning 4 titles, Sunrisers Hyderabad winning 1 title, Royal Challengers Bangalore reaching three times finals, Punjab Kings reaching finals once and then newly appointed Gujarat Titans.

It is going to be a great tournament with top players in the world taking on each other. The schedule of the IPL 2022 will be announced soon.
