The England Cricket Team produced a remarkable performance as they chased down their highest ever run chase in Test cricket on the 5th day of the 5th Test match played at Birmingham on Tuesday.

Starting on the overnight score of 259 for 3, Root and Bairstow showed intent right from the word go putting pressure with lovely shots making life tough for Indian bowlers. Jasprit Bumrah and other Indian bowlers tried to keep pressure but Root and Bairstow maintained the pressure with superb batting display.

It was a brilliant display by Root and Bairstow keeping the scoreboard ticking. Root completed his century off 136 balls while Bairstow reached his century off 138 balls. After reaching the milestone, Root played innovative shots against Shardul Thakur. Bairstow also looked at ease and made sure that England chased down this mammoth target with ease.
