Super 4 schedule of Asia Cup 2022

 The stage is set as Pakistan and India qualified from Group A while Sri Lanka and Afghanistan made it into the Super 4 stage from tomorrow onwards.

Afghanistan progressed into the Super 4 stage after winning both their matches against Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Sri Lanka has been seeded as B1 while Afghanistan seeded B2.

India has been placed as A1 while Pakistan seeded as A2. It promises to be an exciting Super 4 stage as each team will play another team once before the top two teams progress into the finals.

All teams will be looking to perform their best to make it into the finals. Afghanistan and India have performed well with 2 successive wins in the Group stage.

Here we look at the Schedule for the Super 4 stage

1.       Sri Lanka versus Afghanistan (Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah)- 3rd September

2.       India versus Pakistan (Dubai International Stadium, Dubai)- 4th September

3.       India versus Sri Lanka (Dubai International Stadium, Dubai)- 6th September

4.       Afghanistan versus Pakistan (Dubai International Stadium, Dubai)- 7th September

5.       Afghanistan versus India (Dubai International Stadium, Dubai)- 8th September

6.       Pakistan versus Sri Lanka (Dubai International Stadium, Dubai)- 9th September.

India defeated Pakistan by 5 wickets in a low-scoring thriller while defeating Hong Kong by 40 runs thanks to Surya Kumar Yadav’s brilliance. On the other hand, Pakistan lost to arch-rivals India by 5 wickets and then registered their biggest win in the T20I format defeating Hong Kong by 155 runs.

Afghanistan provided surprising package defeating Sri Lanka by 9 wickets chasing down a modest total. They then stunned Bangladesh by 7 wickets in their 2nd match of the tournament. Sri Lanka struggled against Afghanistan losing badly. The Lankan Lions chased down a massive target of 184 runs in the last over to qualify for the Super 4 stage.
