along with Brandon McCullum. Both added 44 runs for the 2nd wicket that

recorded the joint fastest fifty by an Australian player in T20Is. Chasing down
a modest total of 145 runs to win, Jake Fraser McGurk was dismissed without
opening his account in his debut match.
Head showed
his intent right from the word go putting enough pressure on the Scotland
bowlers. He and Mitchell Marsh scored a record 113 runs at the end of the first
six overs. It was sensational hitting by Head reaching fifty off just 17
deliveries. Both added 113 runs for the 2nd wicket to lay a strong
foundation for Australia to win the match. Head was dismissed scoring 80 off 25
balls with 12 fours and 5 sixes.
For his
superb knock, Travis Head was named the player of the match. He would be
looking to showcase his superb form in the remaining two matches against
Scotland, ODI &T20I series against England.

achieved this record against Sri Lanka in 2022 during the Super 12 game at Optus
