ICC World Test Championship 2023-25- Bangladesh Climbs To Fourth

 

After a historic victory in the 2nd test against Pakistan at Rawalpindi, the Bangladesh Cricket Team climbed to fourth during the latest ICC World Test championship cycle for 2023-25.

As of 3rd September 2024, Bangladesh climbed to 4th position and climbed ahead of England. They are currently with 45.83 percentage points including 3 wins and 3 losses from 6 matches so far.

Bangladesh won their first-ever test match against New Zealand at Sylhet Cricket Ground by 150 runs.

Under the captaincy of Najmul Hasan Shanto, Bangladesh registered their first-ever win against Pakistan in Test matches. After the bowlers gave away 448 for 6 in the first innings, Bangladesh batters showed their domination posting 565 runs. Mushfiqur Rahim scored 191, Shadman Islam 93, Liton Das, Mominal Haque scored half-centuries that helped the visitors put on an excellent batting display.

Bangladesh bowlers wreaked havoc bundling out Pakistan for 146 in their 2nd innings. Mehidy Hasan Miraz grabbed 4 wickets while Shakib AL Hasan took 3 wickets. Bangladesh chased down the target of 30 runs easily without losing any wickets.
