Champions Trophy 2025: Updated Indian Squad
The updated
Indian squad for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025 has been announced starting
from 19th February. Star pace bowler Jasprit Bumrah will not take
part in the tournament due to a lower back spasm that he suffered during the 5th
test match at Sydney.
Harshit
Rana has shown glimpses of form during the first two One-day internationals
against England at Nagpur and Cuttack will be a part of the 15-member squad. Varun
Chakvarthy, who made his debut in the 2nd ODI at Cuttack has been
included in the squad replacing Yashasvi Jaiswal.
Yashasvi
Jaiswal who was a part of the provisional squad named early, will be a part of
the non-travelling reserves. Shivam Dube and Mohammed Siraj would travel with
the squad.
Harshit
Rana and Varun Chakvarthy would be looking to impress again in the 3rd
One-day international match against England at Ahmedabad on 12th February.
India’s
schedule for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025
The Indian
team will travel to Dubai on 15th February. They have been placed
with Bangladesh, arch-rivals Pakistan& New Zealand in Group A. Rohit Sharma’s
led side will begin their tournament against Bangladesh on 20th February.
Indian team
will then take on arch-rivals Pakistan in the marquee clash to be played on 23rd
February. Their last match would be against the bogey team New Zealand on 2nd
March.
Rohit
Sharma and Co will be eager to lift the Champions Trophy 2025 as they finished
runners-up in the 2017 edition played in England and Wales.
