All England Badminton Championship 2025: Indian Shuttlers Participation And Chances
The most
prestigious All England Badminton Championship 2025 will begin from 11th
March onwards and go on till 16th. Top players from various nations
would participate in the men’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s singles, women’s
doubles & mixed doubles section.
Indian
shuttlers would look to perform decently well in this prestigious event. This
tournament is a part of the Super 1000 event. Lakshya Sen had a brilliant
tournament last year winning the bronze medal after losing to Jonathan Christie
in the semi-finals.
It promises
to be a great tournament with the likes of PV Sindhu, Lakshya Sen, HS Prannoy,
Satwik/Chirag Shetty will look to go ahead in the tournament and win medals in
this prestigious event.
The men’s
singles section will see Lakshya Sen start his tournament against Watanabe of
Japan in the first round. If Sen wins his opening match, he will face the
winner of Jonathan Christie or Leong JH of Malaysia. The star Indian shuttler
has been in poor form and would be looking to make a strong comeback.
HS Prannoy will
face Thomas Junior Popov of France in the first round. He suffered a loss in
the second round of the Super 300 Orleans Masters. If he can make it into the
next stage, the Indian shuttler will face Li Shifeng or pre-qualifier. Prannoy
has a chance to make it all the way if he can handle pressure.
The women’s
singles will witness PV Sindhu face Kim G-e of South Korea in the first round. It
would a tough challenge for the star Indian shuttler as she will be returning
to the court after the quarterfinal’s loss in the Indian Open 2025.
Malvika
Bansod will face Yeo Jeo Min of Singapore in the first round. She needs to play
out of her playing abilities to defeat Yeo.
The men’s
doubles will witness Satwik/Chirag Shetty face Lundgaard/Vestergaard in the
first round. They would be looking to make a strong comeback and have a great
chance to make it into the deep end of the tournament.
The women’s
doubles section will see Tressa Jolly/Gayatri Gopichand take on Sung S-y and Y-Ch
of Chinese Taipei. They would look to surprise the best doubles pairing in the
world moving ahead into the tournament.
Tanisha
Crasto/Ashwini Ponnappa will face Hsieh P-s and Hung E-t of Chinese Taipei. It
will be a huge challenge for the women’s doubles pairing. P Konjenbgam/ S
Mishra will face Baek-H-n and Lee- s-h of South Korea in the first round. Their
task of winning the first round against the number 1 ranked pair is impossible.
S Karunakaran/
A Variyath, Dhruv Kapila/Tanisha Crasto, R Kapoor/Shivani Gadde must play
brilliantly well to cross the first-round matches.
