WPL 2025: Schedule Of Knockout Stages Announced

 

Mumbai Indians suffered a narrow 11-run loss in the final league game of WPL 2025 against RCB played at Brabourne Stadium, CCI on 11th March.

Delhi Capitals progressed as table toppers for the third successive time. They lost to Mumbai Indians in 2023 and then RCB in the finals of the 2024 edition. Under the captaincy of Meg Lanning, DC won 5 matches and lost 3.

DC had a great outing this season winning twice against Mumbai Indians, once each against Gujarat Giants, UP Warriorz & Royal Challengers Bengaluru. They suffered losses against RCB, UP Warriorz & Gujarat Giants. Delhi Capitals finished at 10 points with a positive net run rate of 0.396. They will take on the winner of Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Giants in the eliminator.

Mumbai Indians finished with same number of points with 5 wins & 3 losses in the league stage. They won two matches against UPW Warriorz, Gujarat Giants & once against RCB.  Under the leadership of Harmanpreet Kaur, MI lost only 3 matches including two against Delhi Capitals. Needing to qualify directly for the finals, MI lost to RCB in their final league game on 11th March 2025 at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai.

Under the leadership of Ash Gardner, the Gujarat Giants made it into the playoff stage for the first time in WPL history. They had a mixed-bag tournament with 4 wins & 4 losses in the tournament.

Gujarat Giants registered two victories over UPW Warriorz, once against Royal Challengers Bengaluru & once with table-toppers Delhi Capitals. They suffered two losses against Mumbai Indians, once against RCB & Delhi Capitals.
