Macau Open 2025: Indian Shuttlers Participation

  The top Indian shuttlers will take part in the Super 300 Macau Open 2025 starting from tomorrow onwards. HS Prannoy suffered second round loss to Chou Tien Chen in the China Open tournament, will face qualifier 2 YS Marcellyno of Indonesia. He would look to produce a strong showing ahead of the World Championship tournament. Lakshya Sen will face Jeon H-J of South Korea in the first round. He will be looking to comeback strongly after losing to Li Shifeng of China during opening round of the Super 1000 China Open tournament. M Singh will face Tarun Mannepalli in all India first round match. Ayush Shetty would be returning to the court as he would take on Huang Y-k of Chinese Taipei. China Open 2025 Day 2: Great Day For Indian Shuttlers

  The Indian shuttlers had a remarkable 2 nd day with PV Sindhu, Unnati Hooda and Satwik/Chirag Shetty made it into the 2 nd round of the Super 1000 China Open played at Changzhou on 23 rd July. PV Sindhu finally crossed the first round hurdle stunning world number 6 Tomoyka Miyazaki of Japan in three games. The first game saw the star Indian shuttler show intent right from the word go putting pressure on the Japanese. At the mid-game break, Sindhu had a 11-5 lead. After the break, despite Miyazaki efforts, Sindhu won the first game comfortably at 21-15. The second game began on an even keel with both players earning alternate points till 6-6. Miyazaki upped the ante with lovely smashes and drop shots not allowing any chances to comeback into the game. At the mid-game break, Miyazaki led 11-6. China Open 2025 Day 1: HS Prannoy Enter 2nd Round, Lakshya Sen Crash Out

  It was a mixed day for Indian shuttlers as HS Prannoy entered made it into the second of the Super 1000 China Open played at Changzhou on 22 nd July 2025. HS Prannoy made a stunning comeback to beat 18 th ranked Koki Watanabe of Japan in three thrilling games. The first game saw Watanabe dominating with lovely smashes and not allowing any chances for Prannoy making a comeback winning it easily by 21-8. The second game was a closely fought affair right from word go before Prannoy made a strong comeback to take 11-9 lead at the break. After the break, Prannoy showed his class winning by 21-16 and match going into decider. Watanabe made a strong start to the third set putting enough pressure on the Indian. The Japanese kept hitting smashes and looked in complete control with a 11-2 lead at the break. After the interval, Prannoy made a stunning comeback to take points in succession.
