Sanju Samson- the young talent

Sanju Samson a young and talented player who plays for Kerala in Indian domestic tournament Ranji Trophy has been impressive. He made his IPL debut this year and played from Rajasthan Royals. His contribution was great as he played some good knocks to help the team to reach the top 4. He is the youngest player in the IPL to score a half century. He is currently a member of U-19 team and also a wicketkeeper.In the IPL he was adjudged the Best Young Player of season according to the polls.This young talent has impressed a lot with his batting and wicketkeeping. He is playing in test match against Sri Lankan scoring good runs with 88 runs. He made his ranji debut on 3 November 2011. Sanju had impressive record in 2012-13 ranji season scoring 722 runs from 10 innings including 2 centuries. India trash Zimbawawe to clinch the ODI series

India trash Zimbabwe in the 3rd ODI by 7 wickets to win the series with 2 matches remaining to play in the series. In the 3rd ODI India won the toss and elected in the field. The decision proved right when the opening 2 wickets were lost in the first seven balls. After that Taylor and Maskadzada  sitched a good partnership of 62 lost too many wickets in the middle overs and were finally bowled for 183 in 46 overs. Amit Mishra was the pick of bowlers with 4 wickets. The Indian batting did not start well losing Rohit Sharma for 14 but the partnership of Dhawan and Kohli steadied the innings and at the end india won the match with 14.3 overs to spare. Kohli was the top scorer with 68 runs not out. In the 2nd ODI zimbawawe won the toss and elected to field. Aussies in a mess in ashes

The Australians have lost their legacy after the greats like Shane Warne, Glenn Mcgarth, Adam Gilchrist and major players have retired. After that number of new players have not replaced them. In 2013 ashes the performance has gone  done very badly by losing the first and second test match. The first test match was a close one by losing the first one by 14 runs and losing the 2nd test by 347 runs. Their was a lot split among the Aussies. The batsman have let them down by not scoring runs and the bowlers leaking a lot of runs in the 2nd test match. This shows that when under pressure they are not able to perform as they were used to do 10 to 15 years ago. A Research on the coverge of sports in 3 media ie Internet sites(2), TV channels(4) and Print Media(HT and TOI) in Feburary 2013

“ NEW HORIZONS OF SPORTS JOURNALISM- A Study” This article draws on results of a survey examining the sports coverage in newspapers, TV and internet sites in Delhi, India during the month February 2013. The study sheds light on the arrangement of themes, patterns of construction and further aspects of quality of the sports reporting in three different types of media. While globalized reporting increases and journalistic accuracy decreases across the globe, sports represent crucial subject matters in media reporting. The key results of this study show that newspapers covered (229) nearly double of the coverage on TV (107) and one half of that on TV (174). Cricket (23.2), football (20.6), Tennis (20), Hockey (13.5), chess (10.9) and Golf (4.8) shared the major coverage in Print Media. Other sporting events were covered by print media only to the extent 6.6%. The gender distribution of coverage was in the range of 15-22.7%, with internet (15%), TV (22%) and Print media (22.7%). India cricket team on top of its game

India are on the top of their game in the One day interantional by wining the prestigous champions trophy and also the tri series in West Indies. India played very well in each of games in the champions trophy held in England by winning all the matches staring from the Warm up match. The fielding was at his best , bowling was at its peak and batting great. The teams they played in the group stages were tough but they made easy work of their opponents and also in the semi final they trashed the Lankans in the Semi final by 8 wikcets. The Final between the Indian and England team was reduced to 20 over game due to rain. The batting failed but their bowlers and fielding was up to mark and won the finals by 5 runs to win trophy that dhoni did not have in his cabinet. When they went to West Indies they lost 2 of their matches and then came back strongly to win the remaining of the 2 matches and entered into the finals.
