Sanju Samson- the young talent
Sanju Samson a young and talented player who plays for Kerala in Indian domestic tournament Ranji Trophy has been impressive. He made his IPL debut this year and played from Rajasthan Royals. His contribution was great as he played some good knocks to help the team to reach the top 4. He is the youngest player in the IPL to score a half century. He is currently a member of U-19 team and also a wicketkeeper.In the IPL he was adjudged the Best Young Player of season according to the polls.This young talent has impressed a lot with his batting and wicketkeeping. He is playing in test match against Sri Lankan scoring good runs with 88 runs.
He made his ranji debut on 3 November 2011. Sanju had impressive record in 2012-13 ranji season scoring 722 runs from 10 innings including 2 centuries. The average in First class cricket in 7 matches 31.75 with 2 centuries and 1 fifty, list A carrer was 32.33 with 2 half centuries and T 20 cricket his average was 30.72 with 1 half century.The runs scored in first class is 381, List A runs is 291 and T-20 cricket runs scored is 338. In 2012 he played for Kolkatta knight Riders but did not play any matches. In the 2013 IPL he made his debut against Kings XI punjab. He played some good innings, like Royal Challnegers Bangalore he score 63 off 41 chasing 172. He had a previlage of sharing the dressing room with greats Like Rahul Dravid, Shane Watson, Brad Hodge and learn the tricks.
He must be given enough opportunity to prove his worth in Under 19 and one day he will don the Indian team jersey. In the IPL he played along with some of greats like of Sachin, Malinga, Gilchrist, Ponting and try to learn how they play their cricket. The commentators were impressed with this talent.
