Sourabh varma narrowly missed

In yesterday's Malyaisan open final between Santoso and Varma the match was an exiciting one as it flowed from one end to another but at the end the Indonesian prevailed. The Indians played his heart out as he gave a tough fight. In the first game the Indonesian was leading 12-5 but the determination saw him take the first game and won the game 21-15. His net shorts, his quickness and his defense was brilliant. The second game saw the Indians committing too many mistakes. He played some false shots, error to see whether the shuttle is in or going out. The Indoesian player took the advantage of this and took the second game 21-16.

In the final and deciding game Sourabh Varma was leading 8-4 and after that the Indonesian played some wonderful shots. When the score was 18-10 the people thought that match was well and over the Indians fought back in the match and leveled the score 19-19 but at the end the Indonesian was cool under pressure and took the set 21-19. Sourabh Varma narrowly missed to win the trophy and it would have been the 4th Indian player to win the GP gold title  after K skrikhanth, P kashyap and Arvind bhatt.

This augers well for the Indian badminton as there some important tournaments coming up as there is a uber cup which involves top teams like China, South Korea, Malaysia, Germany and other teams. The commonwealth games and asian games will be a big test for these young Indian players.
