First leg of IPL 7 comes to end

The first leg of the popular Indian premier league came to end yesterday. The matches were played in UAE and the people enjoyed the matches and there was full capacity crowd in all of the three venues where the matches were played in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. In 20 matches played so far few matches went to the last. As the standings Kings XI Punjab are sitting pretty with 10 points, CSK at 2nd position with 8 points, Rajasthan at 3rd with 6 points, KKR at 4th with 4 points, Bangalore Royal Challengers at 5th with 4, followed by sunrisers , Delhi and the last place goes to Mumbai Indians as they have 5 matches on a trot.

Of all these teams Kings XI Punjab are going great guns with the likes of Maxwell is at the top of runs scorer with 300 runs in 5 matches. He scored 95,89,95 to give a the team a brilliant platform and when the batsman did not score many runs the bowlers performed brilliantly to restrict the opponents.CSK losing the 1st match against Punjab scoring 205 in that game the team has bounced back and has been on a roll winning 4 matches in row. There have few performances which have stood out as the likes of Ishwar Pandey, Chahal has performed exceptional well.

The best part of tournament so far has been that Varun Aaron, Sandeep Sharma, Bhuvenswar Kumar are are doing well and I think with more expsoure with likes of Styen they will gain more experience how to bowl in death.

The first best moment of tournament so far was the catch of Lynn who changed the course of the match. At that time Bangalore needed 6 off 4 and that catch titled the match towards KKR, the second was the tied match b/w KKR and Rajasthan Royals where the super over was also tied but on boundary count Rajasthan Royals won the match.

Mumbai batting has not clicked as a unit which has created a problem for them. I think the IPL coming back to India will see some huge scores and the explosive batsman like Gayle, Mcullum, De villers will shine.
