India bowling a concern ahead of England series

The Indian bowling has to step up if they have beat the England team in the upcoming test series starting from 9th July. In the practice match against Lecicstire  all the bowlers were given an hammering and they must improve a lot before the first test match starts. Ishant Sharma needs to focus on his line and length, Shami needs to increase pace to rattle the English batsman, Varun Aaron, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ravindra Jadjea, Ashwin has to bowl tight bowling to get rid of English batsman twice. In the 2011 tour of England the Indian pace battery consisting of Zaheer Khan who got injured was ruled out of the series, Ishant Sharma and Praveen Kumar was the only bowlers who took wickets otherwise it was very disappointing tour to remember.

In the previous two tours of South Africa and NewZeland the Indians inability to pick 20 wickets was the main issue and they lost the test matches 1-0 both respectively. In South Africa the first test was prime example of how India bowlers really struggled to defend the score 458 and almost lost the match. In that match Zaheer khan was not at his best, Sharma struggled and Shami was lone warrior who battled till the last and eventually the  match was drawn . Another match showed the incapability of  of the Indian bowlers was the Wellington test when Newzeland was in tatters in the second innings. The lack of genuine fast bowler costs Indians match and the home team managed to draw the match.

This series will be an opportunity for the young Indian bowlers to shine and make a name for themselves which do their confidence a massive boost. These bowler have never played a test match in England and if they do well they can get a chance of making to the World cup squad.

I think the biggest challenge for the Indian team is play postitve cricket and just focus on doing the basic right which will make the life of others easy. The new bowl bowlers must pick up early wickets. The 3 fast bowlers for me in first test should be Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohmmad Shami and Ishant Sharma
