MS Dhoni-the Kohinoor diamond

Take a bow, What a captain that India has produced. A railway ticket collector turning into a big cricketer is the luckiest thing that India will be proud of. His achievements is no mere fluke. When he came into the international scence he was swashbuckling player but with time and the pressure of captaincy he has become more mature. His ability to read the situation, play cool and considered one of the best finishers in the modern day cricket.

MS Dhoni has won so many trophies which comprises of CB Series in 2008, the first world cup T-20 held in South Africa, the 50 over World cup in 2011, the Champions Trophy win in 2013 which he never won and runners up World cup T-20 in 2014. Apart from he won test series in Newzeland, Pakistan and in his captaincy his side become the number 1 side in test cricket which they finally lost in England 4-0. In the Indian Premier League he won 2 tittles in 2009 and 2010, runners up in 2012,2013 and 2014 which shows the consistency in the team.

Under his captaincy there was also some bad times which Dhoni would love to forget soon. He lost test series 4-0 in England and also in Australia. They played badly in the ODI Series in England losing 3-0 due to injuries. They did not reach the finals of Asia Cup 2012 and 2014. He also lost the the ODI and test series in South Africa and Newzeland.

He has made players and gives chances to players to prove their mettle. The real example is Rohit Sharma who was inconsistent but finally after giving so many chances he scored a double ton, Ravindra Jadjea now a permanent member of team.

I hope Dhoni would add another feather in the cap winning another major ICC tournament in the World cup 2015. Wish him a very happy birthday. I am hopeful that India can make country proud by winning the test series in England
