In the latest ICC test team rankings, India maintains the top place after an excellent performance in the ongoing five match test series against England. India are currently leading the test series 2-0 and with 2 more test matches remaining, if India could win one of the remaining two test matches then the Men in Blue will remain number 1 for long time.
The second place is occupied by England who are currently trailing the five match test series 0-2. Australia too are on the same points as England. England because of decimal points, are ahead of Australia.
After losing the test series against New Zealand 0-2, Pakistan has slipped down to fourth. South Africa who won the test series against Australia in Australia are currently at 5th place.
New Zealand who won the test series against Pakistan by 2-0 has climbed to sixth in the points table. Sri Lanka winning the test series against Zimbabwe is at 7th.
The 8th place is occupied by West Indies who currently lost the test series against Pakistan 1-2. Bangladesh and Zimbabwe occupies the last two places in test rankings. Here we look at the ICC test team rankings.

  The defending Champions India registered a commanding win in the 2 nd semi-finals against South Korea of the Asian Champions Trophy 2024 played in Hulunbir, Inner Mongolia on 16 th September. Indian team began the first quarter on a good note with Abhishek's reverse flick shot saved by Korean goalkeeper Kim Jahean. After the initial domination, a superb pass by Arijit with a goal by Uttam Singh in the 13 th minute to give India a 1-0 lead. Soon after, Korea’s two penalty corners before the third penalty corner as the shot hits Sumit’s body.   At the end of the first quarter, India led 1-0.   The defending Champions England qualified for the semi-finals with a thrashing of the USA in a must-win game played at Kensington Oval, Barbados on 23 rd June 2024. England captain Jos Buttler won the toss and decided to field first. Reece Topley struck in the first over dismissing Andries Gous with a simple catch to Salt. Nitish Kumar and Steve Taylor steadied the ship for the USA. Sam Curran dismissed Steve Taylor caught by Moeen Ali. Taylor and Nitish Kumar added 34 runs for the 2 nd wicket. It was a disciplined bowling effort by the England bowlers as they kept picking wickets at regular intervals. Sam Curran struck to dismiss Harmeet Singh. Chris Jordan became the first England bowler to grab a hat trick in the T20I format. Jordan dismissed Corey Anderson, Ali Khan, and Kenjige.
