Predicted India XI for one off test match against Bangladesh

After a successful test season in 2016, India will take on Bangladesh in one off test match against Bangladesh in Hyderabad from tomorrow. The Indian team are high on confidence after winning 9 test matches in 2016. This is the first time Bangladesh are visiting India to play a test match on Indian soil. India are firm favourites to win the match but Bangladesh performance in New Zealand shows that they can cause upset if they to the potential. India is currently the number 1 ranked team in test matches and would not want to take Bangladesh lightly. Here we look at the predicted XI for one off test match against Bangladesh.
1.       Murali Vijay
Murali Vijay played a key role in helping India to register a 4-0 win over England. His ability to leave the ball and play according to the situation makes one of the best openers for India. He scored two centuries in the test series against England and would play key role in giving the hosts a solid start against Bangladesh.
2.       KL Rahul
KL Rahul scored 199 in the last test match at Chennai against England. KL Rahul has a solid technique that can play long innings and attack the opposition spinners. The Karnataka batsman with Murali Vijay needs to provide a solid start to the team. It will help the middle order and lower order to put pressure on Bangladesh bowlers.
3.       Cheteshwar Pujara
Cheteshwar Pujara also played a key role during the series win over England. He came at number 3 and showed great defensive technique with aggressive attitude. If Pujara could display the same positive intent then India has chances to win the match.
4.       Virat Kohli
Virat Kohli was in great form during the test series against England scoring 655 runs in 8 innings. During that series his attacking approach and ability to put pressure on the opposition bowlers made him a special player. If he could continue his excellent form in the test match against Bangladesh, then India are strong favourites to win the match easily.
5.       Ajyinka Rahane
Ajyinka Rahane would be making a comeback into the playing XI after missing the last two test matches against England. In the 3 test matches he played, Rahane could not contribute too much. In the past 2 years, Rahane showed his class with bat in tough overseas conditions. Karun Nair scored a triple century at Chennai. Rahane will play a crucial role in helping India to post a big total in the middle order.
6.       Wriddhiman Saha
Wriddhiman Saha will replace Parthiv Patel in the one off test match against Bangladesh. He scored a double century in the Irani Trophy against Gujarat. Saha is the first choice keeper for India. Saha needs to score runs with bat and do the wicketkeeping job very well.
7.       Ravichandran Ashwin
Ravichandran Ashwin was the star of show in the test series against England picking 28 wickets in 5 test matches. In the last 2 years, Ravichandran Ashwin has become a complete bowler. He has been India’s go to bowler under Virat Kohli captaincy and also is the number 1 ranked bowler in test matches. If Ravichandran Ashwin could perform well, India would win this match easily.
8.       Ravindra Jadeja
Ravindra Jadeja too has been in great form against England. In the final test match at Chennai he picked his best figures of 7/48 and led India to 4-0 win. He contributed with bat during that series lower down the order which gave important runs. Ravindra Jadeja is currently at number 2 and would like to perform to become the number 1 ranked bowler in test matches.
9.       Jayant Yadav
Jayant Yadav in his debut series against England did well with the bat and ball. He contributed vital runs in the lower order. He would be making a comeback into the team not taking part in the limited overs series against England. Jayant Yadav bowled well in the test series and would play a role in tomorrow’s match against Bangladesh.
110.   Umesh Yadav
Umesh Yadav was brilliant with ball during the test series against England. He picked wickets at important times and bowled with pace which made the life tough for the England batsmen. If he could bowl well with new ball against Bangladesh then, India would put pressure on Bangladesh batsmen.
111.   Ishant Sharma
Ishant Sharma played only 1 test match against England. He bowled with pace and aggression not allowing England batsmen to score runs easily. With his height, he would test Bangladesh batsmen and pick early wickets. Ishant Sharma would be a handful with the new ball.
