All you need to know about the Super League Stage of Syed Mushtaq Ali 2019 tournament


After the league stage of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2019, two teams from each group have made it into the Super League stage of the tournament.
From Group A, Baroda and Karnataka have made it into the Super League stage. Both Baroda and Karnataka earned 20 points each winning 5 matches and losing 1 match each, but due to better run rate, Baroda finished top of points table.
Tamil Nadu finished top of Group with 5 wins and 1 loss with a total of 20 points. Rajasthan qualified for the Super League coming 2nd with 4 wins and 2 losses with 16 points. Vidarbha and Kerala had 16 points each but due to poor run rate, both could not qualify for next round.

Maharashtra and Punjab qualified the Super League stage from Group C. Maharashtra finished with 5 wins and 2 losses with a total of 20 points, Punjab earned the 2nd place in the Group with 4 wins and 3 losses with a total of 16 points. Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh, Hyderabad, Railways had 16 points but due to poor run rate, the 4 teams could not qualify.

Due to a better run rate than Haryana, Mumbai finished top of Group D with 24 points winning 6 matches and losing just 1. Haryana also registered 24 points with 6 wins and losing just 1.

Delhi and Jharkhand qualified from Group E for the Super League Stage. Both teams had 22 points each but to better run rate, Delhi finished top of Group.

Maharashtra, Delhi, Baroda and Rajasthan have been clubbed in Group A. In Group B, Punjab, Jharkhand, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu will take on each other.

The top two teams in each group will qualify for the semi-finals.
