Manish Pandey register 2nd highest induvial score by an Indian in T20s

After finishing the Indian duties, Manish Pandey registered the 2nd highest individual score by an Indian in T20 format. He featured for Karnataka against Services in Round 4 match during Group A match played at Dr PVG Raju ACA Sports Complex, Vizianagaram on Tuesday.
After being invited into bat, Karnataka lost an early wicket of Rohan Kadam at the score of 5. Manish Pandey came to the crease and took the attack to Services smashing them to all parts of the ground. Devdutt Paddikkal and Pandey added 167 runs for the 2nd wicket which laid a strong foundation for massive total. Paddikal was impressive with his stroke play scoring 75 off 43 balls with 8 fours and 4 sixes.

Pandey took the Services bowling apart scoring 129 off 54 balls which included 12 fours and 10 sixes at a strike rate of 238.88. Karnataka captain remained not out and helped Karnataka post a massive total of 250 for 3. Krishnappa Gowtham also scored a quick fire 23 off 15 balls. DG Pathania, Mohit Kumar and VU Yadav took 1 wicket each.

The Karnataka bowlers defended the target with ease as they restricted Services to 170 for 7. Ravi Chauhan was the top scorer for Services with 54, RS Paliwal 46 and AH Gupta 29 was not enough for Services to overhaul this massive target. Shreyas Gopal was the pick of bowlers for Karnataka with figures of 5 for 19 in 4 overs. Karnataka won the match by a massive 80 runs.

Karnataka had won 15 successive T20 matches from 2018 January to 9th November 2019. Top Indian players like Manish Pandey, Karun Nair, Rohan Kadam had featured in successful run.
Shreyas Iyer holds the record of the highest individual score during the 2018/19 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy tournament. He hit 147 off 55 balls with 7 fours and 15 sixes at an amazing strike rate of 267.26 against Sikkim played at Holkar Stadium, Indore. Iyer knock helped Mumbai post a massive total of 258 for 4.

The target was too steep for Sikkim as they could only score 104 for 7. Mumbai won the match by a massive 154 runs.

  The defending Champions India registered a commanding win in the 2 nd semi-finals against South Korea of the Asian Champions Trophy 2024 played in Hulunbir, Inner Mongolia on 16 th September. Indian team began the first quarter on a good note with Abhishek's reverse flick shot saved by Korean goalkeeper Kim Jahean.   The defending Champions England qualified for the semi-finals with a thrashing of the USA in a must-win game played at Kensington Oval, Barbados on 23 rd June 2024. England captain Jos Buttler won the toss and decided to field first. Reece Topley struck in the first over dismissing Andries Gous with a simple catch to Salt.
