India’s tour of Sri Lanka limited overs series dates announced

The Indian Cricket Team dates for the limited-overs series against Sri Lanka to be played in July announced. After the speculation that the Indian team would play extra T20Is is not being featured.

With the regular players taking part in the ICC Test Championship finals and England tour, there would-be performers who played brilliantly in the IPL and boost their performances for selection in the ICC World T20.

It is good news as many top players like Devdutt Paddikal, Shaw, Iyer, Tewaita, and other performers would be selected for the Indian Team. On the other hand, Sri Lanka suffered a lot due to the coronavirus pandemic. Before this series, Bangladesh visited the hosts for 2 Test matches, and then Sri Lanka took part in 3 matches ODI series.

Sri Lanka are slated to play 3 One-day internationals and 3 T20Is starting from 23rd June against England in their own den. This series against India will be a big boost for the Lankans.

Sony Channels will telecast this channel and hope to see great series with good quality Indian players. The venue for the series is yet to be announced.

The Indian Team will start with 3 ODIs matches starting from 13th July and finish on 18th July. After this series, they will take part in 3 T20Is from 21st till the 25th of July.

Shikhar Dhawan or Hardik Pandya is expected to lead the team. The Indian Cricket Team led by Virat Kohli would be preparing for the 5 match Test series against England starting from 4th August.

It promises to be an exciting series as the fringe players would be looking to grab chances with both hands. It shows the depth and experiences they gain from playing top international players in IPL.

  The defending Champions India registered a commanding win in the 2 nd semi-finals against South Korea of the Asian Champions Trophy 2024 played in Hulunbir, Inner Mongolia on 16 th September. Indian team began the first quarter on a good note with Abhishek's reverse flick shot saved by Korean goalkeeper Kim Jahean. After the initial domination, a superb pass by Arijit with a goal by Uttam Singh in the 13 th minute to give India a 1-0 lead.   The defending Champions England qualified for the semi-finals with a thrashing of the USA in a must-win game played at Kensington Oval, Barbados on 23 rd June 2024. England captain Jos Buttler won the toss and decided to field first. Reece Topley struck in the first over dismissing Andries Gous with a simple catch to Salt. Nitish Kumar and Steve Taylor steadied the ship for the USA. Sam Curran dismissed Steve Taylor caught by Moeen Ali. Taylor and Nitish Kumar added 34 runs for the 2 nd wicket.
