All you need to know about the India’s women tour of Sri Lanka 2022
The Indian women landed on the shores of Sri Lanka for 3 T20I and 3 One-day international matches to be played from 23rd June.
Harmanpreet Kaur has been named the One-day international
captain after the retirement of veteran Mithali Raj. It promises to be an exciting
series with the Indian team playing their first international series after the heartbreaking
end to the ICC World Cup 2022 played in New Zealand as they were knocked out in
the first round itself.
The three ODI matches will be a part of the ICC Women’s
Championship 2022-2025 starting from 1st July to be played at Palleke
International Stadium, Palleke.
From 23rd June, the three T20I matches will be
taking part in Dambulla. Sri Lanka started their campaign in ICC Women’s ODI
Championship losing to Pakistan by 1-2. The Indian team will be looking to show
their domination against Sri Lanka in ODIs and T20I format.
