Pakistan versus England 4th T20I: Pakistan level the series with a thrilling win

 Pakistan registered a thrilling win to level the series against visiting England side in the 4th T20I match played at National Stadium, Karachi on Sunday.

England captain Moeen Ali won the toss and decided to field first. Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam looked in decent touch right from word go putting pressure on England bowlers. Rizwan showed his class while Babar kept accumulating runs. At the end of the first six overs, Pakistan openers scored 52 for 0.

Rizwan and Babar continued to milk the runs easily keeping the scoreboard ticking. Rizwan completed fifty off 38 balls maintaining pressure on England bowlers. Liam Dawson provided the breakthrough by dismissing Babar with a simple catch to Duckett. Babar and Rizwan added 97 runs for the opening wicket. Shan Masood was promoted to number 3 but could not do justice. David Willey dismissed Shan with lovely delivery. Shan and Rizwan added 52 runs for the 2nd wicket.

Khushdil Shah and Mohammad Rizwan went in quick succession. Asif Ali playing his first game of the series smashed 2 sixes off the last over to help Pakistan post 166 for 4 in 20 overs.

Chasing 167 runs to win, it was a disastrous start for visitors as Phil Salt, Alex Hales and Will Jacks went cheaply. Mohammad Hasnain grabbed the wickets of Hales and Will Jacks while Nawaz grabbed the wicket of Salt to leave England in trouble at 14 for 3. Ben Duckett showed intent right from word go hitting 3 boundaries in an over to keep the pressure on Pakistan bowlers. At the end of the first six overs, England scored 50 for 3.

Mohammad Nawaz grabbed the wicket of dangerous Duckett. Duckett and Harry Brooks added 43 runs for the 4th wicket. Moeen Ali joined Harry Brooks looking in complete control with attacking shots. Pakistan entered the match with 2 quick wickets of Moeen and Harry Brooks in quick succession to leave England at 113 for 6. Moeen and Brooks added 49 runs for the 5th wicket.

Haris Rauf produced a stunning yorker to dismiss David Willey after being hit for 2 boundaries. Liam Dawson changed the momentum of the game with 24 runs against Hasnain. Rauf struck twice in the 19th over dismissing Dawson caught by substitute Mohammad Haris and then lovely delivery to get rid of Olly Stone. Dawson and Adil Rashid added 32 runs for the 8th wicket.

Pakistan captain bought the field up before a superb throw by Shan Masood resulted in the run out of Reece Topley to give 3 runs win.

Pakistan 166 for 4 in 20 overs (Mohammad Rizwan 88, Shan Masood 21, Reece Topley 2/37) beat England 163 in 19.2 overs ( Harry Brooks 34, Duckett 33, Haris Rauf 3/34, Nawaz 3/35) by 3 runs.

For his 3 for 32 in 4 overs, Haris Rauf was named the man of the match award. The series is leveled at 2-2 with 3 matches to spare.

The fifth match of the series will be played at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore on 28th September.
