 The round 4 matches of the 2022/23 Ranji Trophy season will begin tomorrow across different venues.

Group A

Odisha versus Nagaland (DRIEMS Ground, Cuttack)

Uttarakhand versus Bengal (Abhimanyu Cricket Academy, Dehradun)

Uttar Pradesh versus Haryana (Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow)

Baroda versus Himachal Pradesh (Moti Bagh Stadium, Vadodara)

Uttarakhand is currently at number 1 spot with 174 runs win over Nagaland, thrashed Odisha by an innings and 99 runs to register 7 points. They won their match against Himachal Pradesh by five wickets against Himachal Pradesh.

Bengal won their opening match by six wickets against Uttar Pradesh. They registered 3 points against Himachal Pradesh with the first-innings lead. Bengal thrashed Nagaland by an innings and 161 runs to register 7 points.

Group B

Andhra Pradesh versus Hyderabad (ACA Sports Complex, Vizianagaram)

Maharashtra versus Assam (MCA Stadium, Pune)

Saurasthra versus Delhi (SCA Stadium, Rajkot)

Mumbai versus Tamil Nadu (Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai)

 

Mumbai and Maharashtra are on 13 points each but due to a better net run rate, Mumbai is currently at the number 1 spot. Mumbai won their opening match against Andhra Pradesh by 9 wickets, before thrashing Hyderabad by an innings and 217 runs to register 7 points.

They suffered 48 runs loss to Saurashtra in their Group game at Bandra Kurla Complex. Maharashtra began their tournament with a 9-wicket win over Delhi. Their second match against Saurashtra ended in a draw as they earned 1 point as Saurashtra took the first-innings lead.

Maharashtra thrashed Andhra Pradesh by 131 runs to earn 6 points.

Group C

Rajasthan versus Jharkhand (Sawai Man Singh Stadium, Jaipur)

Kerala versus Goa (St Xavier College Ground, Thiruvananthapuram)

Karnataka versus Chhattisgarh (M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore)

Services versus Puducherry (Palam A Stadium, New Delhi)

 

Kerala, Chhattisgarh, and Karnataka are currently at 13 points each but Kerala occupies the top spot, Chhattisgarh second while Karanakta the 3 position.

Kerala began the tournament with 85 run win over Jharkhand. They earned 1 point against Rajasthan. They showed their domination with a 7-wicket win over Chhattisgarh.

Chhattisgarh registered 132 runs win over Puducherry. They earned 7 points with a 10-wicket win over Services. They suffered 7 wicket loss against Kerala.

Karnataka earned 3 points with a draw match against Services, registered an innings and 7 runs win over Puducherry. Their third fixture ended in a draw against Goa with Karanakta 3 points.

Group D

Tripura versus Chandigarh (Maharaja Bir Bikaram College Ground, Agartala)

Madhya Pradesh versus Vidarbha (Holkar Stadium, Indore)

Railways versus Jammu and Kashmir ( Lalbhai Contractor Stadium, Surat)

Gujarat versus Punjab ( Sardar Vallabhai Patel Stadium, Valsad)

 

The defending Champions Madhya Pradesh is currently at the number 1 spot with 3 outright wins. They registered an innings and 17 runs win over Jammu and Kashmir, thrashing Chandigarh by an innings and 125 runs. They recorded a closely fought victory over Railways to register 6 points.

Gujarat is currently at the number 2 spot with 2 outright wins and 1 draw. They started their tournament as they earned 1 point as Tripura took earned 3 points for the first innings lead. They thrashed Jammu and Kashmir by 9 wickets to register 6 points.

Gujarat thrashed Chandigarh by an innings and 87 runs to register 7 points.

Bihar versus Sikkim ( Urja Stadium, Patna)

Arunachal Pradesh versus Meghalaya (Shastri Madan, Vallabh Vidyanagar, Anand)

Manipur versus Mizoram (Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad)

Meghalaya is currently at the number 1 spot with 19 points registering 3 outright wins while Sikkim occupies the second position with 2 outright wins and 1 loss.

  The defending Champions India registered a commanding win in the 2 nd semi-finals against South Korea of the Asian Champions Trophy 2024 played in Hulunbir, Inner Mongolia on 16 th September. Indian team began the first quarter on a good note with Abhishek's reverse flick shot saved by Korean goalkeeper Kim Jahean.   The defending Champions England qualified for the semi-finals with a thrashing of the USA in a must-win game played at Kensington Oval, Barbados on 23 rd June 2024. England captain Jos Buttler won the toss and decided to field first. Reece Topley struck in the first over dismissing Andries Gous with a simple catch to Salt.
