Abu Dhabi Masters Badminton 2025: Three Indians Into The Finals

It was a great day for the Indian shuttlers as three of them made into the finals of the Super 100 Abu Dhabi Masters tournament played at Abu Dhabi on 4th October 2025.

The women’s section saw Shriyanshi Valishetty cruise past her Indonesian opponent Chiara Marvella Handoyo in two straight games. Valishetty dominated Chiara right from the word go putting her opponent under pressure with scoreline of 21-11, 21-12 to move into the finals.

The sixth seeded Tasnim Mir went past her Turkish opponent Neshilan Arin in three games. Arin showed her class in the first game putting Mir under immense pressure to win the first game comfortably at 21-9. Mir fought back strongly with dominating 21-17, 21-10 win in next two games to make an all-Indian final.

Kidambi Srikanth went down fighting to second seeded Adil Seoh of Malaysia in three games. The first game saw Adil produced a dominating performance not allowing any chances for Srikanth with commanding 21-4 scoreline.

Srikanth made a strong comeback with dominating performance in the 2nd game winning with comfortable scoreline of 21-11 to force match into decider. The third game was a closely fought affair right from word go before Adil Seoh held onto his nerves to win with 21-19 scoreline.

The men’s doubles section saw Hariharan Amsakarunan and Arjun MR enter into the finals with three game win over Wesley Koh and Junsuke Kubo of Indonesia.

The first game was a closely fought affair right from the word go with both pairs taking alternate points before Koh and Kubo held onto their nerves to win at 22-20. Amsakarunan and MR Arjun stormed into the match with some lovely badminton putting the Indonesian pair under pressure winning next two games by 21-14, 21-16 to move into finals.

Amsakarunan and MR Arjun would look to go for glory as they will face Raymond Indra and Nikolaus Joaquin of Indonesia in the finals tomorrow.

2.      Tasnim Mir defeated Neshilan Arin (Women’s Singles)- 9-21, 21-17, 21-10

3.      Kidambi Srikanth lost to Adil Seoh (Men’s Singles)- 4-21, 21-11, 19-21

4.      Hariharan Amsakarunan/MR Arjun defeated Wesley Koh/Kubo (Men’s Doubles)- 20-22, 21-14, 21-16.

ICC Women’s World T20: India to meet Australia in the finals

The Indian Women’s Cricket reached their maiden T20 World finals after the first semi-finals against England was abandoned due to rain played at Sydney Cricket Ground, SCG on Thursday. Harmanpreet Kaur led side finished top of Pool A winning all their matches. It is a great achievement for the Indian women’s team as they performed brilliantly in the league stages. India started the group stunning the defending Champions Australia by 17 runs in the opening match played at Sydney Showground Stadium, Sydney on 21 st February. After their win against Australia, they defeated Bangladesh by 18 runs on 24 th at WACA Stadium, Perth. It was a superb performance by India as they held their nerves to beat New Zealand by 3 runs in their 3 rd match played at Junction Oval, Melbourne on 27 th February. Malaysia Open 2025 Day 3: Disappointing Outing For Indian Shuttlers

  The Indian shuttlers had a disappointing outing as only one of them made it into the quarterfinals of the Super 1000 Malaysia Open 2025 played at Axiata Arena, Kuala Lumpur on 9 th January. HS Prannoy, women’s doubles pair of Tressa Jolly suffered narrow losses while Bansod, mixed doubles pair of Crasto/Kapila, and other pair lost in a one-sided affair. Tressa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand suffered a heartbreaking loss to Jia Ya Fan and Zhang of China in three thrilling games. The Indian pair struggled in the initial phases of the first game trailing by 3-6 before taking 7 points in succession to put the pressure back on the Chinese pair. At the mid-game interval, the Indians had an 11-7 lead.
