Denmark Open 2025: Lakshya Sen & Satwik/Chirag Enter Second Round

It was a good outing for Indian shuttlers as Lakshya Sen and Chirag Shetty/Satwik entered the second round of the Super 750 Denmark Open played at Odense, Denmark on 15th October 2025.

The men’s doubles pairing of Satwik/Chirag Shetty won their first-round match against Grimley brothers of Scotland in three games. It was a slow for Indian pairing as they committed few unforced errors. After the mid-game interval, there were some struggles for Satwik/Chirag before making a strong comeback. Grimley brothers showed class to win the first game by 21-17.

Satwik/Chirag dominated the play right from the word go in the second game putting pressure on Grimley brothers taking a 11-7 lead at the break. After the break, it was one-way traffic as Indian pairing won the second game easily by 21-11.

The third game was closely fought affair as both pairs fought for each point. Grimley fought back strongly keeping the Indians under pressure to take a slender 11-10 lead at the break. After the interval, Satwik/Chirag showed their class, Grimley brothers fought back strongly before Indian pairing won it easily by 21-17 to move into the second round. They will face Lee J-h and Yang PS of Chinese Taipei.

Lakshya Sen defeated Nhat Nyugen in three thrilling games. The first game saw Nhat proving his worth putting Sen under immense pressure. After break, Nhat continued his domination winning the first game easily by 21-10.

The second game saw Lakshya showing his attacking skills putting Nhat under immense pressure. At the mid-game break, Sen had a commanding 11-4 lead and continued his domination with 21-8 win in second game.

Sen began the third game on a positive note before Nhat fought back strongly. It was a very closely fought affair before Sen held onto his nerves winning the third game by 21-18 to move into second round. He will face Anders Anotsen of Denmark.

Anmol Kharb, Ayush Shetty lost their first-round matches on day 1 played on 14th October 2025.

Dhruv Kapila/Tanisha Crasto, Shivani Gadde and Rohan Kapoor will play their first round matches today.

ICC Women’s World T20: India to meet Australia in the finals

The Indian Women’s Cricket reached their maiden T20 World finals after the first semi-finals against England was abandoned due to rain played at Sydney Cricket Ground, SCG on Thursday. Harmanpreet Kaur led side finished top of Pool A winning all their matches. It is a great achievement for the Indian women’s team as they performed brilliantly in the league stages. India started the group stunning the defending Champions Australia by 17 runs in the opening match played at Sydney Showground Stadium, Sydney on 21 st February. After their win against Australia, they defeated Bangladesh by 18 runs on 24 th at WACA Stadium, Perth. Malaysia Open 2025 Day 3: Disappointing Outing For Indian Shuttlers

  The Indian shuttlers had a disappointing outing as only one of them made it into the quarterfinals of the Super 1000 Malaysia Open 2025 played at Axiata Arena, Kuala Lumpur on 9 th January. HS Prannoy, women’s doubles pair of Tressa Jolly suffered narrow losses while Bansod, mixed doubles pair of Crasto/Kapila, and other pair lost in a one-sided affair. Tressa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand suffered a heartbreaking loss to Jia Ya Fan and Zhang of China in three thrilling games. The Indian pair struggled in the initial phases of the first game trailing by 3-6 before taking 7 points in succession to put the pressure back on the Chinese pair. At the mid-game interval, the Indians had an 11-7 lead.
