BWF World Tour Finals 2025: Satwik/Chirag Register Second Successive Win

The Indian pairing of Satwiksairaj RankiReddy and Chirag registered their second successive win against Muhammad Shoibubl Fikri and Fajar Alfian of Indonesia in Group B fixture played at Hangzhou, China on 18th December 2025.

Satwik/Chirag began the first game with aggressive putting the Indonesian pairing under immense pressure. It was a dominating display by Indian pairing with a commanding 11-2 lead at the break. Despite some fightback, Satwik/Chirag Shetty won the first set comfortably by 21-11.

The second game began on an even keel before Alfian and Fikri putting on excellent display of badminton putting the Indians under immense pressure with 9-4 lead. Indian pair fought strongly with four successive points. Alfian and Fikri took a slender 11-9 lead at the mid-game break. Both pairs were involved in long rallies before the Indonesian held onto their nerves to win the second game comfortably at 21-16.

Satwik/Chirag maintained the pressure on Alfian and Fikri right from the word go in the third game. They looked in complete control making life tough for Indonesian pairing to take a commanding 11-4 lead at the break. After the interval, it was one-way traffic as Satwik/Chirag won the deciding game with ease at 21-11.

With this big win, Satwik/Chirag moved to the top of points table. On the other hand, Liang and Chang registered an impressive win over Aaron Chia and Sooh of Malaysia.

Satwik/Chirag needs to avoid a big loss against Aaron Chia and Sooh of Malaysia. They are almost confirmed place in the semi-finals of BWF World Tour finals 2025. It promises to be a closely fought contest between Satwik/Chirag and Aaron Chia.

Satwik/Chirag would look to continue their winning form and make sure that they go with an unbeaten record in the semi-finals.

 The Australian Cricket Team continued registered a dominating win over West Indies in the first semi-finals of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2022 played at Basin Reserve, Wellington on Wednesday. With the match reduced to 45 overs a side, West Indies Stefanie Taylor won the toss and decided to field first. It was a steady start by Australian openers Alyssa Healy and Haynes keeping the pressure back on the West Indies' bowling line-up.
