Thomas Cup 2026: Quarterfinals Line Up Announced

 

The schedule for the 2026 Thomas Cup quarterfinals has been announced after draw took place today to be played from 1^st May onwards at Horsens, Denmark.

Group A saw China winning all the three matches against Canada, Australia and India. On the other hand, India finished as runners-up winning against Canada and Australia. They went down fighting to defending champions China by 2-3.

In Group B, Japan registered victories over Finland, England by 5-0 scoreline. They won a closely fought affair against Malaysia by 3-2. Malaysia finished second place in Group B winning against Finland and England before losing to 2-3 against Japan.

Chinese Taipei, Denmark and South Korea finished on 2 points each, but Chinese Taipei and Denmark finished in top 2. Chinese Taipei dominated Sweden by 5-0 before losing to South Korea 2-3. They registered closely fought affair against Denmark by 3-2 to finish as table topper. On other hand, Denmark won by 4-1 against South Korea and Sweden. Despite losing 2-3 against Chinese Taipei, Denmark points difference was 60 as compared to 62 off South Korea.

Group D also saw Thailand, France and Indonesia finishing on 2 points each. Thailand defeated France by 4-1, lost to Indonesia 2-3 before winning 5-0 against Algeria. France suffered 1-4 loss to Thailand in the opening match, dominating Algeria 5-0 and registering 4-1 win over Indonesia to qualify for quarterfinals.
