Singapore Open 2026: Indian Shuttlers Participation

 

The Indian shuttlers will look to perform well in the Super 750 Singapore Open 2026 starting from 26^th May onwards. This tournament would feature all the top players.

Ayush Shetty would be looking for much better performance as he will face Victor Lai in the first round. Lakshya Sen who suffered exit in first round of Malaysia Masters will face Lu Gunagzu of China.

Sen would be looking for a much better performance and dominate the Chinese player. Kidambi Srikanth will face Loh Kiean Yew while HS Prannoy would take on 5^th seeded Jonthan Christie. If both players win their respective matches, they will face each other in the 2^nd round.

In the women’s singles section, PV Sindhu will face Wardani of Indonesia in the first round. Sindhu had a decent outing reaching the quarterfinals of Thailand Open 2026.

Unnati Hooda will face a stiff challenge as she faces 8^th seeded Tomoka Miyazki of Japan in the first round. Malvika Bansod would take on Lin H-t of Chinese Taipei in the first round.

The men’s doubles section will see Amsakarunan and MR Arjun take on 7^th seeded Hoki and Kobayashi of Japan in the first round. Satwik/Chirag Shetty who lost in the finals of Thailand Open 2026 would take on Chen Z-y and P Smith of USA in first round. The Indian pairing is 4^th seeded in the tournament.

Ashwini Bhatt and Shikha Gautam will take on Chang C-h and Yang C-t in the first round of women’s doubles. K Selvam and S Singhi would face P Lopez &L Rodriguez of Spain.

The mixed doubles section will feature Rohan Kapoor/Shivani Gadde take on Yang P-h and Hu L-f of Chinese Taipei in the first round. Dhruv Kapila/Tanisha Crasto would be hoping for much better performance as they will face Wong TC and Lim CS of USA in the first round.
